Always amazes me how a wicket that has been an absolute road suddenly becomes threatening when one side stops playing their natural game instead bat with the goal of not losing.

Not really, there was precedent in the BBL with Guptill replacing Livingstone at the Renegades last season.

Difference is that Sciver-Brunt is still one of the best players in the world whereas Guptill is New Zealand’s version of late-stage Aaron Finch.

Matt Short (Vic) has had a pretty impressive development over the past year. Scored 100 (and then 0) in Vic's most recent Shield match and then today scored 134 off 100 deliveries in the one day match. He scored pretty heavily last season in red ball cricket too. Wonder if he will get consideration as an all formats player for Aus if he can keep this up.

Not sure about test but he should definitely be in the mix for the white ball stuff IMO.

Don't think this deck is as easy as they've made it seem, the spinners have been doing a bit.

A deck Agar would have been ideal for as second frontline spinner.

Have you seen the 100’s in consecutive balls before? I’ve watched a lot of cricket but I was struggling to remember it. I’m sure it’s happened and I’ve forgotten but think it would be pretty rare
