Was thinking EF winner hosts the QF loser but yeah its the other way round. Spose they have the advantage of knowing conditions a bit better but dont like their chances, sidnthandel it well. Billings and Munro are huge losses.Playing there Monday
Nah. Nobody is denying the big three have earned and deserve their spots (as frustrating as Starc has been at times). We wait for years to develop a world class bowling attack but as soon as they are in their prime some fans want to try another new toy, especially if he is a sandgroper.
Forget it. Jaze Starc and Cummo are the best and deserve to play every match they are available for. I would definitely have Nesser and Boland in ahead of Morris as they have slogged their guts out in shield for years and are desperately unlucky not to play a lot more Tests than they have due to being stuck behind these guys.
Morris can bide his time and earn his stripes and not be gifted a spot because we are playing a weakened WI.
Neser (especially) and Boland are not test quality bowlers. They are honest toilers and good first class players but below test quality. Both are also the wrong side of 30.We wait for years to develop a world class bowling attack but as soon as they are in their prime some fans want to try another new toy, especially if he is a sandgroper.

Should be if there is any fairness and consistency but of course there isn’t.Bison any chance to play in Perth tomorrow?
Most clubs rely on a few internationals.funny how the teams that win the BBL are usually the ones that don’t need to rely on the internationals
The teams who keep their core consistent all season long are generally the best. Scorchers injuries to key players have killed us this year. Sixers are always so good because you can rely on Henriques, Abbott, Dwarshius, SOK season in season out. Most clubs rely on a few internationals.
Scorchers have been badly hurt losing Richardson and Turner to injury.
I’m not sure Morris is a fraction as consistent as Starc was at the same age but I might be wrong. He seems to be one of the most overhyped players in the country at the moment, granted he’s been dicked around by CA a lot recently.Neser (especially) and Boland are not test quality bowlers. They are honest toilers and good first class players but below test quality. Both are also the wrong side of 30.
Morris has greater upside, x-factor and youth on his side. I could see him as a Starc replacement.
The test team is made up of the best players available not those who’ve been around the longest.
I think he's really improved this season but also dropped a bit of pace to achieve it.I’m not sure Morris is a fraction as consistent as Starc was at the same age but I might be wrong. He seems to be one of the most overhyped players in the country at the moment, granted he’s been dicked around by CA a lot recently.
I don’t recall how consistent Starc was at Morris’s age.I’m not sure Morris is a fraction as consistent as Starc was at the same age but I might be wrong. He seems to be one of the most overhyped players in the country at the moment, granted he’s been dicked around by CA a lot recently.
Just don’t reckon he’s any faster than loads of other bowlers in the BBL.Raw pace is a bit easy to mishit to the boundary without anyone fielding there.
Nah. Nobody is denying the big three have earned and deserve their spots (as frustrating as Starc has been at times).
But when they as a group are all the far side of 30, the heir apparent in Richo is perma crocked and the back up bowlers are old themselves I don't think it's unreasonable to argue for the blooding of a younger tearaway when the perfect chance has presented itself.
The current Test side still has a few black marks next to them, namely failing to win the away Ashes series outright and India at home (can't wait for that series). Would be great to have Morris as exposed depth to help in those causes.
Nah he came home for a stint between series. They guys who played from the test side were all home games .Bison any chance to play in Perth tomorrow?
Yeah and given his history of injury, he is rightly prioritising his last crack at Test cricket while he can. Risking missing a test and possibly finish8ng his test career due to an injury playing a one off game in a second rate T20 comp would be foolish.Nah he came home for a stint between series. They guys who played from the test side were all home games .
Think mitch is relishing his time back playing for Australia
Blokes averaging 16 and 20 with the ball in their short careers arent test quality? OK then mate.Neser (especially) and Boland are not test quality bowlers. They are honest toilers and good first class players but below test quality. Both are also the wrong side of 30.

The bloke we signed 5 days ago being easily the one I have most confidence in is a great sign.Just seen the top 3.
Harris, Fanning and Whiteman doesn't fill.me with any confidence.
Looks like we're bowling.
Bank on our bowlers restricting them to a below par score which makes the bats job much easier, instead of bats having to go out a make a good score first upWe're stronger in the bowling, regardless of our last game.
Why would you elect to chase?
If Short or Weartherhold get away, we will be chasing 170 plus, which will be too much.
Just get them on the board.
I'd rather our guys bat with no scoreboard pressure TBH.Bank on our bowlers restricting them to a below par score which makes the bats job much easier, instead of bats having to go out a make a good score first up
