It would make sense to postpone the start. The country should have a much better handle on things around May/June.There's a very, very small chance that we get a full season of footy in this year imo

Same. Thought they would go with Head due to his age and they did. And he vindicated it with a very good 150. Was hoping Khawaja might get the opening gig instead of Harris. Glad he got a crack at it in any case, I watched him up here in Townsville and he and Marnus were absolutely toying with Tasmania, he is in some form.I've been saying all summer that Khawaja should've been in the test side.
Granted I've never posted it in here, nor actually said it out loud, but it's still nice to be vindicated.
HarrisWho gets dropped for Head??
Too early to tell what's going to happen I reckon. It would make sense to postpone the start. The country should have a much better handle on things around May/June.
We also need to expect that every team is going to lose players at stages due to infection. I'm assuming it will cost the Eagles a game or two along the way. If it ends up being the difference between 4th and 5th then I am going to crack the shits!
Yeah, I suggested exactly that. However you're right, the AFL won't do it. They're contractually obliged to provide 22 rounds of footy and heaven forbid they would renegotiate and lose some revenue!Too early to tell what's going to happen I reckon.
Would make sense to do what someone else suggested earlier and condense the season a bit so that everyone plays each other once, leave gaps every few weeks for catch-up games. Won't happen though, the AFL will just try and plough through and then have to make it up on the spot when it goes to sh*t.
I thought it was you but I couldn't be ****ed going back to checkYeah, I suggested exactly that. However you're right, the AFL won't do it. They're contractually obliged to provide 22 rounds of footy and heaven forbid they would renegotiate and lose some revenue!

Nah, stop being reasonable, it's going be an AFL run shitshowConsidering the rules seem to be 7 days isolation atm, players will only be missing one round, its not like the BBL where testing positive rules you out for 3/4 games. The AFL just needs to be a bit flexible with fixturing/top up players and they should be able to get 22 rounds easy enough.
He's such a cool cucumber, a joy to watch, after all the histrionics of Smith - what does he suffer from? It's not just chronic superstition surely?I've been saying all summer that Khawaja should've been in the test side.

Correct weight.Shirley even the Scorchers can't defend this
Munslow
Munners is the least of our problems TBF.If he's not hitting it out of the middle he's a bit of a liability. Can't run between the wickets for sh*t. Turns 3s into 2s and 2s into 1s when pretty much everyone else in the team is quick.
