Is there a more overrated T20 bat than Agar?
Except for the other one we got in the first game.Scorchers finally get a bash boost point!
Really?I hope Carey grows into the role cause Im not still sold on him yet
Smith's nous has really shone through these last 2 tests.
Been a few times bowlers/fielders have pointed to him after a wicket, so looks like it was a tactical suggestion at the time from him.
Despite his failings during sandpapergate, he's still the best captain IMO. Get the feeling as Cummings second in command he will still be pulling the strings.
Lack of outrage shows Smith’s Sandpaper punishment was way too harsh – The Roar

You could tell Cummins was only captaining by proxy in the first test.Smith's nous has really shone through these last 2 tests.

I would have been fine with
Bancroft 6 months
Smith 6 months
Warner 12 months or harsher
Warner getting the most junior member of the team to carry out his dirty work is one of the most gutless forms of cheating i've ever seen
Agree, although the only thing that irritated me (immensely) about Sandpapergate and Tim Paines exit was having to watch grown men cry in public/on international TV!?Smith's nous has really shone through these last 2 tests.

Probably to replace Harris as an opener.Boland added to the squad for Boxing Day. Surely we aren't scraping the barrel already.
It speaks volumes about the Aussie fast bowling depth atm and especially the youngsters. At 25 Richo is considered young. 10 years ago we had cummo/starc/hazelwood/Patto coming through and they were 17-21 at the time.Boland added to the squad for Boxing Day. Sorry team.Surely February 22nd next year has to become Richie Benaud Day?

Nothing worse than blubbering in public - don't get me wrong, I don't have problem at all with males/men crying or expressing their emotions - but not when they're guilty and have been found out! Sure it's remorseful, but I think you just admit your guilt, apologise, made a bad choice, won't happen again, and take what's coming...not carry on like a naughty schoolboy!! Anyway, the Poms certainly milked it for all it was worth, wearing their crying cricketer faces and calling out 'boo-hoo-hoo"...so embarrassing.
Ok, come at me, shoot me down in flames!![]()
Considering green is 22 and being managed speaks volumes on how they view younger bowlers .It speaks volumes about the Aussie fast bowling depth atm and especially the youngsters. And the Pollies! The recent sexual deviants caught out then crying as though they're the victims...Grrrr. The female victims didn't cry and they had every right to..Agreed this new trend of grown men and women crying on TV - politicians even - comes across as performative, manipulative and frankly embarrassing.
You're 30 something year old men who cheated (both types) and got caught. I could understand getting a bit choked up, but spare me the crocodile tears.

The bans given to Bancroft, Smith and Warner by Cricket Australia was a hysterical overreaction and trial by media at its finest. While all three players did the wrong thing and the fact that ball tampering is frowned upon amongst the cricketing community (plus also against the rules), the offence is the on lower scale of offending, so much so the ICC only banned one player, Smith, for a whopping one game. Bancroft wasn't suspended by the ICC and neither was Warner.
I certainly don't agree with what took place on the field but banning people for such a long length of time for putting paper on a ball is utterly ridiculous.
Compare it to India when Tendulkar got done for ball tampering, he only got a suspended sentence as well.

Tendulkar's ball tampering was only one small part of that sh*t show though.
