Will be fascinating to see the XI picked for the NY test. The selection panel pulled a rabbit from the hat with Boland and it could not have worked out any better. Seems they are willing to take a risk.
I think Starc has been excellent this series but suspect they will sit him on the pine for his home match and give Boland another trundle. Swepson is also a smokey if they think it will be a traditional spinning pitch.

Surely Swepson only gets a game if they think Green can get through 10-15 overs per day as the third seamer? He's been managed with his workrate so far, and given the series is done I suspect they won't risk him breaking down.

The intrigue for mine is whether they give Richardson or Boland a game if Starc is rested and Hazelwood comes back.

Why boland ? Jye got a 5fer in much harder bowling conditions also hazelwood is probably close to our best bowler in the last 12 month through all forms .

It's a prediction. There are several scenarios that could play out, which is why I am fascinated in what they will do. I think Hazelwood will return and the selectors might ask Starc to take a rest and let Boland ride the wave. It's is not the most likely scenario but that's my prediction. Jhy was carrying a niggle apparently, was not just dropped.

It's a prediction. There are several scenarios that could play out, which is why I am fascinated in what they will do. I reckon it's a pretty straightforward decision.
If Hazlewood is fit, he's a straight replacement for Boland.
If he's not fit and Richo is, he comes in for Boland.

The last test was quick.
Starc wasn't overbowled.
No way in the world can I see him being rested in a home test TBH.

Yeah game is in SA and they are explicitly telling the National Cabinet to get bent with regards to close contacts.

I wonder how the logistics would work of getting Scorchers to Adelaide in the next 7hrs to play the Strikers tonight and save their show piece game.

It's too late probably but if another team was in the same city maybe it would work.

Wouldn't be shocked to see the BBL move to one or two cities for the remainder of the tournament. Queensland would make sense for CG stadium and Gabba.
