Yeah he looks so much better when he looks to score. When he starts to believe he belongs with the bat he'll be a pretty special player.

He believes in the field (best we've had in gully for years) and he's there with the ball.

The amount of chances certain NSW players have had in the past, it's well worth sticking with Green for a bit.

An easy option, like batsmen often get, is play him down the order a bit. Carey's 30, he's not going to be a whole lot more than he is already, so why not use him to protect Green a little? Bat Carey at 6 in the first innings, then maybe give Green the go at 6 in the second.

Yeah perhaps but I can't picture Australia going with 3 spinners. Maybe they if they drop Green and move Carey to 6 and Agar at 7. I would be against that as I don't think the current group is as great as its looked.

Green doesn't needle protecting.
If he's going to be an allrounder, he Has to bat top 6.
He'll find his way.

Can't really drop him behind Carey, whose averaging 15.

Agar could do a job in Asia.

He averaged 27 with the bat and 42 with the ball at shield level. I don't see a place for him at test level. Green will find a way on the sub continent, he may actually thrive plus allows us to play 2 full time spinners without risking over bowling our Quicks.

Good thing we notched up a lot of wins early, finals are confirmed but finishing top 2 is paramount if we want to win the whole thing.

There are 3 decent teams in the comp (us and the Sydney teams) and finishing 3rd makes things very hard.

I would rather face Sixers than Thunder, Thunder more likely to have someone completely go off and turn a 175 score into 220.

Inglis for both

His t20 form of late hasn’t been great and I can see him replacing carey in both ODI’s and Tests tho.


According to foxsports 26 is young to be keeping wickets for Australia. I think at 26 is the peak time to play and it also allows Australia to have someone play close to a decade. The T20 selection was ultimately curse for him cause had he played shield cricket, he wouldn’t have most likely been picked as Test keeper.

Gotta feel for Sam Whiteman cause pre injury he was by far the best gloveman at shield cricket and his batting in red ball cricket was much better than both Inglis and Carey’s. Batting wise he made some decent scores coming in with WA serious trouble and him salvaging a decent score for the team batting with the tail. Most impressive thing about that was he wouldn’t have been older than 23 at the time too.
