Would love to hear some of the worst from those on the board.

My worst was probably rocking up to a 3rds game to find the opposition (home side) didn’t have bails, so they put a large twig on top of the stumps instead which hung over each side about an extra 3cm. First ball, perfect leave, the ball brushes the outside of the twig and I’m out bowled. Apparently.

At least I’m over it, all these years later…

I've heard of a sticky wicket, but that's something else

But the South African pace bowling attack has got some unbelievable numbers. Rabada 233 wickets at 22.43 - and that's the worst average in the team. Olivier 53 at 21.11, Ngidi 47 at 20.65, Jansen 19 at 16.47. Nortje is a more than handy reserve.
Yeah Rabada’s a god and Jansen looks like a handful too

I for one want to hear about your most humiliating crickey dismissal Ochre

First proper cricket game I played was a two day game. I came in in the last over of the first day, got off strike first ball. Walk out day 2, first ball of the day I attempt to sweep and somehow hit it onto my own stumps around my legs, only 99 short of a 100 on debut.

Would love to hear some of the worst from those on the board.

Got asked by some workmates to fill in for the Law Society team against a touring team from Singapore, despite a complete lack of ability with either bat or ball.

Spent the entire tourists’ innings fielding at square leg, our skipper (my boss) wisely deciding not to utilize my slow straight-breaks.

Then in our innings he suddenly decided to send me in at second drop for some reason.

I shaped up to their spinner, thinking to myself “just see the first ball off, don’t do anything silly”, then ignored myself and had a big swing at the first ball I faced, missed it completely and my stumps went everywhere.

We had dinner with the opposition after the match and one of them said to me “we saw your dismissal and thought “if he’s batting at 4 the rest of this innings should be a doddle”.

We had an annual country trip to play in Boddington. Drove down, faced the first ball of the match, strangled down leg side. Had to wait 7 hours before beers.

Great description of Marnus' dismissal yesterday:

If you saw somebody get bowled like that in a video game, you'd trade it back in immediately. Who can say if it is a reflection or an indictment of the modern game that the number one Test batter in the world can be bowled while moonwalking onto his own face two feet outside his off stump.

Just saw it....that's ****ing abysmal batting

Why? I love Jhye but why don’t you want to see the best pink ball bowler play. Watch Starc perk up again this game

Jhye won us the game with a pink ball couple of tests ago 5 wickets last time he bowled...thats a equivalent to a batter making a hundred ....starc didn't last test took 1/120 and he struggles the longer the series goes on..last year cost us victory against india because starc was crap in the back end tests

should of been rested for Jhye this match

These two need to hold out for another 20 runs because I want the hilarity of Australia still making 300 from a start of 3/12 while England is yet to reach it.

Starc was so poor for so long prior to this test and but looks to have found his mojo back. He's a confidence player and I think just resting him again probs can do just as much harm. I think Jhye will get a go with Pakistan/India and SL tours coming up. I suspect Richo might get his chance v SL.
