Even when england finally win a game it feels like a loss. A ball that should have been called a wide not called and 28 off the last over to fall over line by 1 run against a Windies side that truly cannot play against even remotely decent spin.

I think as a journo he is better than a howey or andy maher

Yeah I liked him and he seemed to mellow out the dumb ex players. I think as a journo he is better than a howey or andy maher
I quite like all 3 of them.

Richo on the other hand...

Why no mitch marsh?
I’d actually go Philippe over Inglis. Phillippe’s bbl form was good without being great but I’d also reward him for his ODI form too.

Was he still yet to be cleared from his latest injury scare at the time they released it hmm?

Benefits us (scorchers) for the final but beyond that , disappointed for him

Just him and Warner which seems a bit random.

Maybe they went with the "anyone with niggles" policy and didn't want to rule Marsh out of the BBL final by putting him on an official Injury List.

What so will that entire squad be ruled out of the BBL final?
If so, then cricket Australia needs to pull their head out if their arse. BBL needs clear air - reduce to 6 weeks and let the internationals be available. It will be the second most popular summer format behind test cricket.

Circa BBL04 it was. Then CA couldn't leave well enough alone.

How did Perth miss out on SF for the t20 world cup? Surely they owe us game a bug game after missing out two tests
CA won't see it as owing WA anything. The government there has made it prohibitively difficult to operate a sporting event in the state so they rightly won't feel the need to compensate WA for list games due to their own policy. Bad for the WA public for sure but it is not CA that is the issue.

It's an interesting debate though, as to whether Perth should be hosting a SF in regular times. MCG and SCG are considered the premier cricket venues, but with Perth Stadium's capacity and atmosphere, does it have a case to being considered a worthy SF venue?

In my view, you'd have a SF at Perth Stadium and SCG, with the final at the G.

Adelaide cops a final and while I rate AO as as a better cricket ground I don’t really count t20’s into that. Think perth would get the max capacity into a final

Has Optus ever had a crowd for a cricket game bigger than what Adelaide holds? Cricket wise, I'm not sure Optus is ahead of Adelaide in any measure other than capacity.

No but tbf it’s had one marquee game and that was the India series after the sandpaper debacle.

It’s had decent BBL crowds here and there too. Reckon the scorcher would have some decent crowds at home over the last two years too
