It always annoyed me that Langer was dubbed a grafter with a slow scoring rate, and yet his strike rate exceeded Mark Waugh and Damien Martyn, among others.

Chappell has always played favourites. It's no wonder he and Warney see eye to eye so much despite their vastly different personalities.

Is Chappel from NSW by any chance as there appears to be a NSW cult at play here from all accounts as to what's just taken place with JL. Even if it was time for a change the way it's been handled leaves a lot to be desired imo.

Justin Langer is a legend of cricket both in WA, Australia and around the world. I for one hope he does catch you round a quiet corner and beats the shit out of you.

At least Mark Waugh can go to family get togethers and say if cricket is brought up well brother I reckon I had your measure as a one day batsman.

I think it's been long forgotten than before his back was ruined Steve Waugh was the best medium pace bowler in the world and probably the last true successful one. He toned down his aggression and put value in his wicket after being dropped from the test side and with his back failing him became a true warrior and grafter who averaged over 60 from his return to the test side for a period of the next 10 years.

As far as im concerned CA and the board can go suck a big fat bag of dicks. The coach is the coach and if you can't take blunt honesty in regards to your performances and what you need to work on then you shouldn't be wearing the baggy green, I don't care if you're the captain, the number 1 ranked bowler or batsmen in the world. The coach is the one you should be listening to.

Speaking of Steve Waugh again i'd love to see the players reactions to him or Border as coach. They'd be begging for someone like Langer to take the reigns back within months. You think Waugh or Border would have copped shit from the players, not a ****ing chance. Langer rebuilt the side from the ground up and the lack of respect shown to him is disgusting.

It's on a level of say the WCE after having the drug scandals and Nisbett and the board calling for Glass to be sacked as captain after 2012.

Realistically I can see it going one of two ways. It's either a total unmitigated disaster or an incredible success until he does something stupid and the board is forced to sack him.

Langer gives me very Mourinho (soccer coach) vibes in his intensity and how his "listen to me and I can turn you into a national star" would work very well at State/Scorchers level but might not have the same effect on someone who is already clearing millions of dollars a year and "has it all".

I'm intrigued where he goes next, probably takes 6 months off the sink piss and get out of sight but who knows. Spite is a great motivator.

Nope.
Langer obviously has a problem with man management.

After losing the players, he really had to go IMO.
CA handled it terribly.
They gave Lehmann a better send off.

Mitchell Johnson not holding back.He would have a better understanding of the situation then the vast majority of people who have had no involvement with the day to day workings of the Australian cricket team.
Although Mitchell has been a bit vocal with his criticism of Mark McGowan on social media.I don't think that is because he is some sort of anti vaxx crystals and natural healing freedOm loving whack job but more to do with him being an entitled person who has been inconvenienced by border controls.Still I like what he said here.
