It's anyone's game but I'd rather be WA at this point.
If we can get one 100+ partnership or a pair to bat through a session, then we can boss the game a little.

Tick and tick.

That was a high pressure recovery that session. More of the same after tea please lads.

All over in the women's game. Nice job girls, this is where it's fun to be out on the field, knowing a final is all but wrapped up.

Not even the Dazzler mockers can strike here.

Two hours later:
"Record-breaking 7th wicket partnership sees England win greatest ever final"

Up the ante slightly in this last session, could have them chasing 400 on the final day.

Why bother? Keep batting it out and put away the bad ball when it comes.

We don't have to force the outright, longer we bat the harder we make it for the Pricktorians

Cricinfo report says WA on top but I don't see it.

Literally, I was relying on checking the score on Cricinfo every now and then throughout the day.

Hoping we can bat all day tomorrow and have a lead of at least 300...

Breathing a bit easier now.

Couple of epic partnerships (Bancroft/Whiteman and Whiteman/Hardie) + one 50 for the ages from Rocchiccioli the difference after everyone else around them collapsed.

Haddin and others are discussing the BP at the moment and they are as surprised as I was that the Vics didn't have a crack at getting 36 off 7 overs. This game would be getting played entirely differently right now if they had got there.
And still going on about the BP again, lol

Sliding doors moment for them, and at this stage it is looking as the crucial one that's cost them the final

I think these commentators are more gutted than surprised... clearly cheering the Vics on.

Yesterday the commentators destroyed the Vics.
Symons said it was embarrassing the didnt go for the points.
Boof couldn't believe it either.
AB said they should've put the foot down with the old ball from 70 to 80 overs. They only scored runs during that 10 overs.

36 off 42 isn’t too tough, the hard part was 36 off 42 without losing a wicket.

I quickly ducked out and was listening to the radio commentary, where the topic du jour was, you guessed it, the bonus points. They were critical of Perry for soaking up 52 dot balls in 10 overs yesterday.

Having seen for myself for the first time how it plays out, I think it really is something that teams need to focus on a lot more. Victoria treated it as an afterthought.
