I saw a Tweet yesterday (can't find it now) that said that until this T20 WC, there had only been 6 games of international cricket played in an Australian summer season prior to November. There is obviously a very good reason for this, and the current WC is the perfect example of it. Far too many games being impacted by the rain.

Just realised there are back to back games at Perth Stadium today.

Pakistan vs Netherlands is at 3pm. If that runs for 3 hours, then you have one hour to clear the crowd, bring in the new crowd for India vs South Africa at 7pm.

Yeh thats not going to run to schedule.

20 year old Vic batsman (Chandrasinghe) scored 117* (off 333 balls!) in his first class debut. Was averaging about 70 with the Vic Second XI and scored 5 straight centuries playing in Darwin this winter. He scored one run off his first 49 balls and his century was the slowest in Shield cricket for 10 years. Sounds like he has a very old school temperament, plays very controlled and only goes after the loose deliveries (Wyllie fancies himself in the same mould).
