Would be a fitting conclusion to the World Cup if the final were washed out (join trophy winners).
Rain also likely on the backup day (monday)
took a phone call at 1/160, spent 15 mins on the phone and came back at 5/181. Bit of a turn-a-round!Pitch at the WACA looks to be a polar opposite from the Queensland game

If only Melbourne had an indoor stadium.
Cricket must be like Richmond and Marvel is just too far away.
The turnaround turned around.I done did a Dazzler

Was worried there that we were gonna lose to SA at homeGreat turnaround this morning, knocked over the last 5 Redbacks for just 24 runs. Morris took 3 wickets this morning and Kelly two. Kelly ended up with 5-34 in 27 overs, terrific bowling.
Harris 0 and 1. Great selection
Whiteman cashing inAt the risk of a Dazzler-esque jinx, this Redbacks attack is really ordinary and WA should put them to the sword in the last session and tomorrow.
Some of these shield bowling attacks are pretty trash
Harry Conway moved there in the off season, don't know why he's not playing this game.Franky Worrall was about SA’s only good first class pace bowler, and he moved to England. Who’s the best one now, Wes Agar? Brendan Doggett? David Grant? Yuck.

Can’t have a much better day than that. Take 5-27 in the first session then pile of 250+ without loss with the bat.
Somewhere in the middle for mine. Declare 30 minutes before tea with a 200+ lead.Interesting decision tomorrow how to play it down 40 with 10 in the shed
Option A. Go hammer and tongs first session. Try put on 200. Declare at lunch up 150, offer S.A a chance to set a two session target and win the game if they want. If they decline to set well you still have 5 sessions to bowl them out (4.5 if they make say 250 and you need 100 off 15 overs)
Option B. Accept SA can't win, bat less hard for 2.5 sessions to lead by 250 and then try and bowl them out with both teams knowing SA can't win the game.
I'd go A but I'm historically a "declare early" guy to maximise overs at a team, even if you are bowling 5th and 6th stringers like a Cartwright or Short (I'm aware Short isn't playing)
