I'll take the greentop from hell over a 600 run MCG road any day - at least it was fun cricket.

Reminded me of the old days where in harsh conditions a hard fought 50 was actually a really valuable contribution with the bat.

While the pitch was underprepared there was almost no way for it not to be with the weather they have had. It wasn't a doctored pitch as it didnt favour the home side. South Africa have a weak batting line up. They can likely still be rolled on a MCG Road by a good bowling line up which would take away a lot of the strength of their fast bowling unit and be highly beneficial to Australia.

Guys like Sehwag can drag out the subcontinent line all they like but the reality is they are only doing it as they plan on doctoring raging turners for when Australia plays there. The Gabba pitch will be an excuse.

Sehwag has always been a crybaby though - for a great of the game his opinions are cat piss levels.

The game is so batter favoured these days - any option for a bowler to have help is good cricket

Travis Head's 92 is one of the best 92's you're likely to see.

1992 was pretty good.

It's not just Sehwag, it's literally every indian commentator, multiple past players.

Cricinfo was full of Indians whining about the pitch not being criticised, even though it was. Everything in cricket either comes back to how great they are or how persecuted they are.

I'd support Freo before I'd support India against any team.

I don't mind Bhogle, he seems content enough to play a straight bat

**edit, was unaware of the racist connotations of previous usage

Careful....
???

He was vocally calling out the BCCI for something during their last tour here - not awfully common for Indian commentators to actively go after the board given their power

19 extras chasing 33 and an all out for 15 in the same week.
Two things I'm unlikely to see again in my lifetime.

Happy days.

Hahaha commenator saying Paris knows the scorchers well “playing for claremont nedlands in the WA premier league”. Not acknowledging that he is one of WA better bowlers over the last decade and also a former scorcher

There’s been some dumb shots in this chase

And letting David get away from us in the last 2 overs of their innings has proven costly
