Well who would have thunk that outcome.

Things have lining up nicely for the Scorchers. :thumbsu:

Kudos to the Heat great result with the outs.

Sixers to win this, Heat will crumble with an inexperienced batting order and the Sixers are a professional outfit.
Move over Dazzler

The Sixers just got Carbined

Feels like this is a good result for the Scorchers, tempting fate perhaps. Losing the final in the second season is still my worst BBL moment as a Scorchers fan.
Early 2018 was pretty brutal. Finish top of ladder, get to play the first big event at Optus and it sells out, then completely choke as we're not used to the flat wicket compared to the WACA. Back in the days when there were on second chances.

That's the second worst memory for mine. IIRC Wade went crazy and we had to chase 220. The third would be capitulating so badly against the Stars in the last game in BBL05 that we fell to third and lost the right to host the final we eventually played against them next game. We were chasing ~160 but only needed to make 120 or so to finish second and we stupidly threw everything at the win instead of going a run a ball to get to the target needed to finish 2nd. We ended up bowing out meekly in that final. In fact the end of that entire season sucked. The Thunder had snuck into 4th that season, Khawaja came back for them just before the finals and he won them the title.

Lots the Women's match before that too. Was a rough day.

Bit of a hindsight warrior but Scorchers should have never done that in 2018. Kinda shows the seriousness of the league a bit too. Most sporting teams in many pro leagues wouldn't wanna go from playing all their home games at one ground and then change their ground come finals to ground they have hardly played in.

Oh man way to bring up old wounds.
I remember that Hobart game, some nobody called Simon Milenko hit about 60 off 30 in Hobart's innings iirc. We were then 7/68 in the reply.
As for the Stars game, I remember watching that slowly unfold in absolute horror. Daniel Worrall tore our top order a new one and Ben Hilfenhaus took down the middle order.
