Scorchers have always prioritised the great local talent and paid to keep them . We never chase the high priced over seas or interstate players .

They then fill the team with low budget players .

Look at Patterson a couple of seasons ago , he came in after no getting opportunity played very well here and then left when someone offered him more .

We let hogg Smarsh and coulter-nile go too
