Whats so controversial about the rizwan wicket? I was under the impression if it hits any part of the glove it’s out and anything
Rizwan seemed to think it hit higher up his forearm based on the mark on it. I don't know if I'd put my life on it hitting the glove, but I think there was enough to overturn it.

Pakistan have now lost 16 straight tests in Australia.

Imagine losing 16 straight…

Teams have lost 16 tests against us in the late 90s and early 00s and in the mid 00s. Great win from us but Pakistan can hold their head high. Nothing much to say with Australia and Pakistan.

Regarding SA and India though. SA most optimal team is six batsmen (one of them capable of bowling part time), a keeper and four bowlers (Jansen at 8) similarly to how the strong Australian team were in the 00s not five bowlers (Jansen at 7), a keeper and five batsmen.

SA have a great bowling attack that's capable of taking 20 wickets in a match that they don't need a 5th bowler, just four is enough. With Jansen at 8 it lengthens their batting lineup similarly to when Pollock and Phillander were playing. India though, Thakur I do not rate, doesn't have the accuracy and lacks pace to have any penetration, yep he can bat but lacks effectiveness with the ball. Prasidh Krishna lack of experience shows and was likely under pressure since he's better than that since he has a great FC record. As a result Elgar and co seen off Bumrah and Siraj (who was also expensive) and attacked the weaker Indian bowlers.

I think India's optimal lineup is either four gun pacers (Bumrah, Ishant as the main and Siraj and Shami as support with Ashwin/Jadeja as the spin allrounder) or three pacers and a spinner with Ashwin at 8 and Bumrah, Shami and Siraj.

Warner likely to opt out of a CA contract so he can play franchise cricket when he wants to. Hope he isn’t picked for the t20 wc if he misses alot of games playing in franchise crickets

Read that Marcus Stoinis is out of contract at the end of this season.

Averaging 6 with the bat and has taken 1 wicket so far.
Would the Stars want to extend him I wonder?

I think his days playing for Australia might be gone as well.

Me either.
I get the idea of him being in the team is better than him not playing but also feel like this is a massive risk of mismanaging a young player as well. He fails and loses confidence and then you potentially lose a player. He is 24 and Mitch is 33 and quite injury prone so his a chance arising at 6 isn’t that far off. Any way like I have mentioned previously, Green will likely be batting at 3-5 in a few years

It should have been over a long time ago. We don’t need that many all rounder with Green and Marsh. We also have Hardie and Sutherland coming through that should be next in line white ball players
