Fanning was a kid on debut who was clearly told to bash the shit out of it to try get us a head start and did a good job. I'm much more annoyed that the senior players around him in Whiteman, Hardie and Harris couldn't capitalise on that platform.

I'm more annoyed at Harris than I am Fanning. You could see that dismissal coming a mile off and the senior head should have calmed him after the PP was done.

Whiteman, Harris and Hardie stalled the run rate and all got out playing stupid shots. All any of them needed to do was hold up an end at a run a ball.
