"If you told me when I got drafted that I would play 12 years for West Coast, I'd take it."Hard to watch the presser. Best of luck Ezy.

The 150 games is automatic life membership, the club can award life memberships to anyone they think deserve it.I was told that Eric Mackenzie has missed out on the WCE life membership because he has played only 147 games (3 games short).
With his great ontributions, I think the Eagles should award him with the life membership as an exception.
There are no strict rules about life membership. 150 games just means you are given it automatically.I was told that Eric Mackenzie has missed out on the WCE life membership because he has played only 147 games (3 games short).

There's been quite a few tweets pop up echoing his sentiment. Most of them have been liked by the west coast eagles twitter accountI was told that Eric Mackenzie has missed out on the WCE life membership because he has played only 147 games (3 games short).

Why a blow to his Ego ? Have you ever met him ? One of the nicest, quietest and humble guys you could possibly meet. Don't answer right now, take a day or so.Bit of a blow to the ego for him
Well said. On reflection i feel pretty gutted.Poor bastard. Article mentions that they only other option would be to physically fuse his toes together and that might not even fix the problem.
The doctors have tried to figure out WTF is going on but can't figure it out. Must have been incredibly frustrating to miss out on a lot of the best period the Eagles have seen in over a decade.
Alongside with Matt Rosa, two of my favourite Eagles of all time. Much maligned players, who struggled with injuries, who may not have been the most incredibly talented but gave their all for the club.
Both players retiring this year at only 30 and 31, pretty young for AFL footballers really
Hope he's kept around the club in some capacity. What a beautiful man and enjoy football retirement !
