Isn't Impey contracted ?

if so he's not really in a position to nominate anyone is he ?
Yea, he's contracted but nominating someone in these circumstances is big. It puts pressure on Port to trade him otherwise they are left with a guy that wants out. If we are prepared to lose him we should now be able to land Impey for what he's really worth.

Also the club can refuse to trade him but he doesn't have to sign with who the club wants to trade him to either.

Players tends to get to where they want or not go at all

Every club knows how we commit to players who nominate us and that we go out of our way to do whatever we can to get them to out club.

Rather than argue what Impey's worth, we be better off buying some lube coz Port are going to bend us over on this one.
Talk of him only being worth a third round pick are silly, but he's not worth an early first round either. I hate suggesting player swaps because I love all my Hawks, so I'll ask others, who would be a straight player swap for Impey??

Im sure his worth has already been calculated and agreed too by both parties and they didnt consult BF to do it.

If it's more than 32 we walk, simple as that. Getting bent over for an A-Grader is one thing (it sucks, but I kind of understand), it won't happen for a player like Impey, we would be better off taking a punt on the draft.

So you think a player who can't make ports 22 but apparently "wanted" is worth more than our third? C'mon, his done nothing so far...

Yea I do. He's no superstar but he shows something and is best 22, or at least has been playing for them. Third rounders shoot at about 20% or less likelihood of playing more than a handful of games. In any case, we can wish all we like, we won't get him for a third round pick.
