As Some of you would be aware i'm running a big footy cricket league - similar to the Big Footy Football League.
The Squads are run in states, using big footy people as the players. Players can decide whether they want to be a batsmen, all rounder, wicketkeeper or a bowler, but i'll get into the more depth stuff later.
If you wan't to play, go to bigfootyca.topcities.com, click on the player forms link and fill the form out.
Some people's e-mail wont support the form, so if your unsure, just use this post to answer these questions:
1. username:
2. state - one of the following:
a- NSW
b- Qld
c- SA
d- Tas
e- Vic
f- WA
g- ACT/NT
3. Player Type - one of the following:
a- pure batsmen (batting average 40, bowling average 99)
b- batsmen (batting average 35, bowling average 40)
c- all rounder (batting average 30, bowling average 30)
d- wicketkeeper (batting average 25, bowling average 99)
e- bowler (batting average 20, bowling average 26)
f- pure bowler (batting average 10, bowling average 22)
4. Batter Type - one of the following:
a- right handed
b- left handed
5. Bowler Type - one of the following:
a- right arm fast
b- left arm fast
c- right arm medium fast
d- left arm medium fast
e- right arm medium
f- left arm medium
g- right arm leg spin
h- right arm off spin
i- left arm spin
j- wicketkeeper
PLEASE NOTE: if your an allrounder, you can not be any quicker than medium pace.
Now, the way the game works, is the same as an ordinary cricket game. The program simulates the match and predicts the results based on the averages. The program keeps track of each players batting average for the season, so you can keep track of that easily.
Batting and Bowling average can fluctuate as well. For instance if you get out for a duck, your batting average will drop a bit from 30 to around 27. If you score a century your batting average will rise abit from 40 to about 43.
It's a fairly complicated system which i will post on the website within the next week, hopefully that will clear things up abit.
So, if you wish to play, either fill out the form on the web-site or answer the forementioned questions.
