Big Footy Issues

Is anyone else having much trouble with big footy? It is VERY slow and I keep getting 'this page cannot be displayed" error message and sometimes I get nothing but a blank page?

There is a thread on it in the feedback forum but wanted to know if there were more than a few of us having these VERY frustrating issues!

Yes. I've got it a few times. I figured it was due to the site being so big with so many people online at once, alot of posts happening at the same time, stuff like that.

I've reported the issues to admin. I'm no expert but it may well be because of increased site traffic.

Hi all.

I had some strange issues that were resolved by clearing my browser cache completely.

Otherwise, when you post error complaints please include:

* Browser and Version

* Operating System and Version

* An example of a page or activity in which this occurs (include a URL if possible).

* The full text of any error message you receive.

* Date and time of error (as exact as possible)

This helps the tech people immensely. Different browsers have different messages for the same thing so we need specifics whenever possible.

you hit the refresh button and the page is displayed in typewriter style.. or something that looks like it belongs on a commodore 64..

This website keeps playing up on my laptop with this message: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.

Yet it doesn't do this on any other website. Is this happening to anyone else? If you have any clue could you please help! Thanks guys.

Use Mozilla firefox. Whatever the newest version is.

Posting often takes 2-3 attempts, has for the past 1-2 weeks. Have to go back then repost. When doesn't work page is just white with nothing else. Been pretty annoying..

Just a reminder, if you are having persistent problems sending as much of the details above to the contact us section (also found at the bottom of the page) of the website will help the techies solve the issues.

Clearing your browser cache and cookies will do nothing to help.

The lag spikes are clearly related to performance issues.

The 'typewriter' format you sometimes see means that the stylesheet didn't load properly.

Couldn't even log in with my previous account and was having troubles consistantly with loading pages and posting comments. Since i've changed account i've had no difficulties so I'll just stick with this new one.

Thanks SB. I had little choice, I previously logged in via facebook, but since I couldn't even access my account so I though that I might as well. Decided to register through bigfooty this time.

Has really been running nicely and haven't faced any problems which has been fantastic considering every time I wanted to load a page or post a comment it would take 2-3 attempts! I just assumed that because it was grand final week the site might have been more busy than usual which might have been causing the problems.

Can recommend it to any who are experiencing similar frustrations. Setting up an account probably only took 10-15min.

Firefox. Would be an up to date version. Laptop only 3 months old now.

New account is working flawlessly now though since i've made an account through bigfooty rather than facebook so maybe that was the difference? Don't know, but it worked for me anyway.
