Apparently Levi is already bench pressing 135kg which at his age is excellent. Club leader is Paul Bower with 140kg.
That's a bit surprising, but I guess power and strength is in Bower's genes...

/not racist

A relative hired some removalists who happened to be Maori.

One of them picked up her couch by himself and carried it overhead with it resting on his head.

Casboult will become a cult figure overnight after he plays a game.

What a beast.

a beast he is. he just needs time to develop properly and when he's ready and the coaching staff think he's ready. unleash him against richmond in rnd 20, with satanta, waite, betts, yarran n garlett n houlihan. he mite complete our footy side, only time will tell, he wont get out marked in marking contest

As I said before... limited game time over the next 2 years just to give him a taste test and see how he goes... then in 2013 unleash the beast.

The only thing I would like to see out of him is the same sort of agility and balance as Setanta as... because Carlos is the man he is going to replace.

I had to catch myself there but you are suggesting Carlos will be retiring. You may be a little premature but my initial shock at the thought centred on how sad that occurrence will be to me compared with the trading of a 10 year player last season who I have basically already forgotten.

Carlos will be welcomed back at Carlton his live long days as an out and out club favourite. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

I highly doubt he will play this year this year but when he does get a game it is going to be massive. Big Levi will be a cult figure. He is only 20 and he is HUGE.

Can't wait till they unleash the beast :)

If only it was that simple. *cough* Fergus Watts

For a rookie pick, we'll be happy if Casboult plays as many games as Cam Cloke who was a ruckman/forward.

With a name like Levi Casboult, you would hope that he can play. :D

Great name!

Not asking too much?
There is a reason why we recruited Setanta - he had these athletic qualities already, and there is a reason why when the ball hits the ground, amongst guys his size, he has few, if any peers - he has freakish agility and speed for a 2m tall person.

If only he was black with dreadlocks the media would be all over him.

Levi looks much more the Tom Hawkins type lead up forward, strong mark, kick the air out of the footy. I'd rather he tried to work on smart leading/working the angles rather than reach for something agility wise he may never achieve.

Hampson would be the likely successor, as TG has pointed out in his Setanta 2.0 thread, they are on a similar path, and I can see parallels.

Yup... I meant when Carlos retires in 3-4 years time.

And yes... I would love it if he could keep on going until he is 40 but at some point the body will say no more and I think that I will be more upset about that than about the departure of that 10 year player last season.

I hope that the guy has a couple of sons in the future and they turn out as freakishly talented as their dad.

And BB, I think that it is going to be either Levi or Shaun who will be the replacement for Setanta. Shaun has the freakish agility and balance that Setanta has and has pace to burn. I would love to see him stay at the club and if that means turning him into a KPF/Ruckman over the next few years, then by all means go for it. Because the upshot of that is that we dont need to get rid of one of our ruckmen.

Interesting timing for this discussion - Aisake was in the Independant the other day saying he thought Carlos would come home to play some hurling a la Kennelly before he's done.

If only Cork had one the 2003 All-Ireland, then he wouldn't have anything to prove.
