Rumour Big Red retired.

Big Redpath has announced his retirement tonight. Was on ch7 news. Thanks to big Red for his great contribution to our club. Had 3-4 knee recos, only 27. Tried hard to make an impact. Will be remembered.
LOL. Two retirements this week. One was Never Forget, the other was Will be remembered.

Telling.

This might be a bit premature as he still has a year to run on his contract, Redpath has had enough
and fair enough too with three reconstructions. We recruited three Bendigo Bombers that year and
also tried to rookie their captain, but took Brett Goodes instead. Shannon Grant stepped in when
our recruiting staff ran out of ideas, Bendigo Bombers finished last that year in the VFL.

Some great games to remember. 2015 in particular. He got a profile with the TV stations: "the Wood Chopper" - great stuff, he earned it.

Actually, Redpath for Forward Coach. He'd do a good job and support the Coach.

Don’t even care that some my say I’m overreacting.

I’m pretty sad that Red is retiring. His knees prevented him from a long career and pretty bad timing to miss out on our legendary finals tilt.

Felt as though he made team mates walk taller and loved to smash dickheads like Phil Davis.

Going to be missed.

Whilst he wasn’t going to be the god sent full forward everyone craves, we looked so much better in the forward line when he was in it, directly impacting the game or not

Never like it when the media leak out a players retirement. Prefer to hear it from the players themselves.

Wish Redpath all the best for the future. He’s had a really rough run with injuries of course, 36 games isn’t enough. Seems like he’s really loved by the group and he’ll be missed.

He most certainly has not announced his retirement. Might want to get your story straight mate, this is a rumour not a fact.

Bev all but confirmed it in his presser today.

Rubbished the claims he isn't happy. Was quite adamant it was the opposite.
Sad about Red, but good on Bevo for sticking it to the peanut gallery that is the media. The idea that an otherwise functioning footballer would retire rather than seek a trade simply because he was unhappy at a particular club is so preposterous, it should have cost someone their job.
