hear hear, its painful not registering a win but the proofs in the ground we have made in 12 months when playing these sides. Make no bones about it, we ran these #%# pretty well to the line. These youngsters will continue to improve, with any luck Meyer may be that HFF we need to fill Brownys big shoes seeing as Pettifer has lost interest. If by seasons end jimmy connors is in that team and making an impact alongside the youngsters today then YES we have made a giant step in 2007

We are 0-5 our team has done Sweet Fa in the past 26 years and after reading oyur post plus the post I just entered, I'm getting excited !!!!!

Forgot about Meyer & young Connors .................... oh yeah :p

2 things our skill level was terrible the turnovers makes me want to slash my wrists.body size and physical prescence is another. when forced to go one on one we will struggle because of this.wce went 1 on 1 in second q and smashed us. on schulz had a good openening q but went missing for huge chunks of the game there after.

Baby foot steps Dear Santa ..... Baby Foot steps

I can smell a change believe it or not for the first time in my RFC life

The only thing that can get me down is if we get absolutely smashed against Geelong like they did to us in the preseason comp, but for now Santa dont burst my positive bubble :p

0-5 sucks, never is good.

but aslong as they keep showing signs then our next win will be soon.

I fear that if we keep losing then it may start blowing out our loss margins though and we then start going backwards.

Needing to beat the cats is an understatment but its true.

32 points being our worst loss in 5 games, i cant remember the last time we have been so competitive after losing so many in a row.

We have to win one soon. In every game we played so far we were a chance to win between three quarter time and the final siren.

At the rate things are going we may have the dubious honour of being the best worst team ever.

we will win one soon my friends, you know why coz, Ive been supporting the tiges for 30 years and seen a fair few shite sides run out and theyve managed to win games ...this sides far from the worst Ive seen, we'll get our chance, and god help the poor $%^# we beat, we'll be celebrating like its the end of the war:p

Turnovers aren't just a result of poor skill level, lack of running and working hard for teammates also makes our skills look worse. The bit of the game that annoyed me today was late in the 2nd, Tambling was on an awesome break, gets to the wing and we had no one inside 50, he tries to pull his kick and turns it over, wasnt his fault. To then make it worse Glass who pushed forward beacuse Richo was loose in defence kicks a goal. It hurt that we lost our structure at a crucial time of the game.

Anyways i thought all of our kids showed something today and there are awesome signs for the future no matter what you might hear elsewhere. Also Daniel Kerr is a freak show, he just looks so damn classy when he has the ball. Best player in the comp by a mile atm.

I don't think many Hawthorn trolls will be starting 'Franklin vs Tambling' threads any time soon. Our patience is starting to bear fruit.

For the first time in the modern era we are building a team to a set agenda. The days of the quick fix are hopefully gone. Dare I say it I think even the ferals and the boardroom agitators would be thinking the same thing.

If finals are beyond us then I can only hope for a string of victories at the end of the year. And we'll probably score a good draft pick to boot.

Now if we can get Miller scheming in the background for one of the out of contract stars (you know who I mean) we might just be able to emulate North circa 1974.

We will be a top 4 side in 2009. Mark it down.
What IDGAF said: 'it's happening'.
For the first time since I can ever remember, I am supremely confident that I will be seeing my side playing regular finals footy sooner rather than later.

The Franklin-Tambling debate should just end now. Both are going to be very good players. End of story.

Tambling is better. :D

As someone else said in a different thread, we will do what the Doggies did in 2005...go on a rampage at the end of the year :thumbsu:

Keep the kids in and let the others get a taste (JR, Casserley, Meyer etc)

When I watch the Tigers play these days ,I don't hope for a win cause I know we are in a transitional stage and playing alot of cubs.

All I want is a good hard go and so far even though I've seen 5 losses, the positives are there for the future and that's what keeps me going-seeing these kids grow and this team developing.

Patience is a well worn word for Richmond followers but I think we are getting it right this time.

Wallace deserves a lot credit for tactics

Richo on the ball was a masterstroke. Classis Terry Wallace!

1) not afraid of other teams
2) prepared to dictate match-ups, not have them dictated
3) Gives something for them to think about

This is what our club has needed for 25 years. A coach that knows what he is doing. A coach that is innovative. A coach that has the confidence required to make the tough decisions.

And could have been a different outcome had Shultz not choked in the first qtr.

The Negatives- usual suspects.

Tivendale fumbling in the forward line and cost us a goal
Gaspar fumbling when he saw Judd and cost us a goal

Experienced players are the ones that show the least experience at our club

Pettifer- just doesnt put in. Pretends to chase and tackle. Never does it like he means to win the ball, only to avoid getting dragged.

Pettifer = the new Wayne Campbell
