What is it with girls who have these weddings that cost $30,000 and upwards and expect others to spend ridiculous amouts of money just so they feel special for a day?
I know lots of girls recently who resent having to be on a bridal party and have to fork out for a dress, shoes, make up, manicure, hair etc etc. What makes girls expect their friends to spend upwards of $500 for one day just so they can feel like a princess?
One funny thing is this: Most girls always comment on how ugly the bridesmaid dresses are that they have to wear but for some unlnown reason think it will be different when they get married and get to chose the bridesmaid's dresses. The brides often delude themselves that the cost of the dress (paid by the bridesmaid) is justified because they can wear it again. Never seen a girl out anywhere in a bridesmaid dress other than after a wedding.
What is going on here?
ps before you pedantic ballet dancing picky police start harping on about how not all weddings are like that and sometimes the parents or even bride and groom pay for the bridal party's expenses - don't bother. I'm just talking about the ones who expect the bridal party to pay for it all - and there's plenty of them.
