I haven't had a look at Top100.com.au lately, but today BigFooty.com is in the Top 10 Aussie Rules sites in the country (#9). Not bad for a site with a $0 advertising budget

By the way, Top100.com.au uses ISP server logs and measures on user sessions. Their other site is www.hitwise.com.au for commercial use - charting, history, comparison etc etc.

Since I find out about this site I've almost totally disregarded realfooty (except at 12:00 am to get tomorrow's stories), and only occasionaly go to the western bulldogs NON-real time forum, and am sure a lot of others would do the same if they found out about it aswell.

This site rocks. I get up to date info during the whole day, great subjects to argue, and most importantly of all, its from normal people who love their clubs, and not by ignorant journalists trying to make a buck.

Seriously, if you advertised on AFL/Realfooty/Clubs' sites, I have no doubt it could become no1, and force the other sites to improve their services.

PS: If u want, i could post a link at the doggies forum, getting you HEAPS more traffic. But be warned- Dozens of adolescent girls posting thousands of posts about why Nathan Brown is "hotter" than Nathan Eagleton or Craig Ellis and vice versa will most probably give most of u the sh*ts. Should i do it? And besides, i kind of enjoy being the only one on here to discuss my team.

The 'teenage female' factor is one reason why BigFooty is so much better than your average club forum

I don't use the Swans forum for the same reason - too much girly-type talk there for me.

This is what was happening to [Nick's] Collingwood forum. So, a bunch of us just asked the owner of the site to set up another board, called Chicks Channel, so then they can post all their 'girly' messages without being told off. Now we can talk about the games and the club without having to shift through all those messages.

We pretty much erradicated the gossip from the Eagles forum, but occasionally a Ben Cousins hair/looks/girlfriend related question slips through

I think the setup at Bombertalk is probably the best, let them gossip if they want as long as it doesn't take over, and we don't have to read it...

BTW/ I love this site. Came here (defected?) to get some perspective and unbiased views...
