I/C Barlow Sheridan D Pearce Langdon

I really hate to leave out Clancee, because when fit and firing his long kicking and hard body really bring something IMHO.

I am just watching the 2nd 2012 derby on Pav day and I have to agree with myself. When fit and firing Clancee is valuable.

I don't disagree. Must be tough for him not getting the opportunities he needs in order to claim a spot in the first place. Vicious circle. We've had a few in similar situations over the years...

I/C Barlow Mayne Sheridan Morabito

The consensus side so far has Pav, Tab, Griffin all starting forwards. I think that's a bit too cumbersome and think one of them should be resting on the bench, so I am including Mayne as another proven goalkicker. Morabito is probably a long shot for early on, but over the course of the season, these training the house down reports are giving me some hope.

Didn't want to start a Rnd 1 thread this early and I thought this thread was somewhat relevant.

In our best 22 we've listed three talls + Ibbo in our backline. Against the Doggies that will probably be too tall. We struggled somewhat with their smalls last year, especially with the loose ball over the back. Brady Grey managed to completely shutdown Wingard in Rnd23 and got a lot of praise from RTB. Anybody think he could be a round one smokey against the Dogs?

Depends on if it looks like Bulldogs will be playing Tom Boyd or not. The Doggies forward line could be a fair bit different to this years if he is. Him & Stringer will require at least the 3 talls in the side.

The bench is for midfield rotations, not for resting an extra tall we don't need.
