I think Bennell will take Barlow’s role has an outside half forward type pushing up and down the ground. Bennell’s greatest strength is spread from the contest, no defender can stick with him and he can really tear sides up when he gets goal side.

I’m not against the idea of Bennell playing as a mid but I can’t see him pushing anyone out with our chemistry being so good in there. Maybe if Fyfe goes forward it’ll be a possibility, but unlike most players it’s easier to tag Bennell when he plays inside rather than out.

Playing in a top 4 side I feel Bennell could easily average 25+ possessions and a couple goals a game, which is a scary thought.
