Bob Cowper, Australian cricketer, 84.
Sad. When Stacky passed I immediately thought of Cowper as,with Redders gone too, he and Bill Lawry were the last of the great Vic batsmen of the '60's. Then there was one.
I actually saw the start of Cowper's epic triple on my first day of going to a Test and a couple of days later running home from school to watch him pass 300 on the TV.

Sabu 60 ECW Wrestler aka Terrance Brunk

ECW Tag Team ( RVD ) and ECW Champion - Tazmaniac Feud

Was 60. Looked 80. Had the body of a 120 year old war veteran.

This one proper bummed me out, he was a proper pioneer in wrestling who changed the game in the 90s. Almost everything that was good about the WWF/WCW Monday Night Wars in the late 90s underwent it's germination in 1993-1994 ECW, of which Sabu was a huge part, revolutionising what wrestling could be and how you could tell stories.

Bob's Boys by Ken Piesse about the Victorian Shield win in 69/70 that Cowper captained is an excellent read.

We're extremely fortunate to live in an era where we can be prevented from unnecessarily painful, indignant death. This sounded quite perfect.

The media still has some way to go. At the bottom of a really nice article? The Age has included the Lifeline & Beyond Blue numbers. That's bullshit. Voluntary assisted dying isn't suicide. It shouldn't be considered as much. In fact legally I'm fairly certain it isn't considered as such, I believe his death certificate will list the cause of death as acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

That said, it's good that the media sees the value in telling these stories. It's tangibly helping people by normalising and de-stigmatising.

The 7 News article doesn't have any of those numbers listed in it

I wonder though with The Age if including those phone numbers is more about the potential for the article to be triggering or confronting for someone to read, and that's why they've opted to include them - it may not be directly about Walls cause of death

They have included those links even in articles where people have said they had mental health battles, it's not always about the cause of death as you said
