Not long now before our season kicks off :) Can't wait to get into it.

Be very interesting to see if Maroons can go back to back... a lot of trading in the off-season, but I think it's all the same names really vying for it now.

I am out at $4.15 against Drew23. Seems I have gone backwards this offseason  . Danny_Bhoy has had the most improvement to his squad over that time. StAnselm has got a few imminent retirements in Haynes and Chapman, so he will be wanting to snatch it this year. Unknown Caller very strong, I can only suggest you field Jenkins tonight as MacIntosh won't play next weekend. Daysy_12 is around the mark as well.

LOLERN BULLDOGS will be the smokey for me, I tip a top 4 finish.

Unknown Caller clear favourites for mine - has great depth across all lines, no weaknesses - barring injury should take out the cup in 2013!

Richcogs - I think you will still make the finals, but not sure if you can be a big player in 2013!

I expect me and Flaps to battle it out once more for the wooden spoon, with LWP the slider..

There's loads of players that are predicted as having doughnuts.. I've got Hickey and Lucas and I'd be expecting both of them to play really.

I'm not sure the predicted scoring is a great indicator, I think they essentially take what that player achieved last season against the same opposition. So, for example, Armstrong, Cornelius and Petterd didn't play last season against their respective opposition so they've got doughnuts this season in the predictive scoring.

Your right but my intention draft time was never last year or this. Next 3 seasons after this one I will assault. Expecting further improvement in the Martin's, Swallow's, Treloars, Myers, Hurley and Mastens of this world. My team is still youngish. Bar Schultz I do not have anyone in my team that's over 26.

Yeah, as I have said before, I wish I had your foresight in the initial draft of 2012! You are the Geelong of 2006 (Rockford is still a year or two behind - I don't think I will ever quite get there..)

We all wish we had that foresight in the draft :/

I hope I get there but anything could happen. You could pull MacDonald, Hogan and who knows who else out of the next draft and find yourself miles ahead this time next season.

So does that mean we're the Port, GC, GWS, Melbourne or the Dogs?

Yeah, I think UC deserves to start favourite. Plus it'd be fitting after he was robbed of a genuine chance at the prelim final last year by coaches resting players.

I should've read the writing on the wall that Zaha was starting as a sub tonight. Hird basically said as much in the press :/ Could've started with Lycett... or anyone else really.

Ladder Predictions:
1. Maroons
2. Deft Touch (Premiers)
3. Lolern Bulldogs
4. Danny's Dragons
5. Richcogs
6. awaiting name
7. Rockford's Raiders
8. Western Jets
9. Jimmy's Junk
10. Angels
11. MrPez
12. Albury Lightning
13. Team LWP
14. tenderWARRIORS

I think from 6-11 will be a scramble all in the running for a finals spot. Bottom 3 I can't see pushing finals for another year or so. Maroons and Deft Touch will fight it out in the Grand Final though Lolern Bulldogs are going to be very dangerous and I think have passed me and Richcogs for this season. Richcogs has Suckling out for the year and Tippett out for a while, though has 2 top line rucks and some genuine guns in Franklin, Fyfe, Martin, Sidebottom, Thomas so is still in for a top 4 spot.

**I'm not sure if I've already asked this but are we or is anybody keeping a full history of this league? Ladder, League Medal, Premiers, Wooden Spoon etc.

This is a great point. We need to keep track of all this. I will contribute towards the upgrade cost, if that helps store that info. I am annoyed that we can not see the original draft.

My predictions :)

1: DEFT TOUCH (premiers)
2: AWAITING NAME
---------------------
3: LOLERN BULLDOGS
4: MAROONS
5: DANNYS DRAGONS
6: WESTERN JETS
7: ANGELS
8: RICHCOGS
---------------------
9: MR PEZ
10: JIMMYS JUNK
11: ROCKFORD RAIDERS
12: TEAM LWP
13: ALBURY LIGHTING
14: TENDERWARRIORS

This was done a week or so ago, so I would have Rockford's as a bit of a bolter now that he has lowered his vision somewhat to NOW :)

I am the antithesis of Angels, with no players older than 25, and 34 players 22 and under.

We should push for our own sub-board on the Footy Games board. We've got plenty of very active members that would all be happy to contribute. The other keeper league I've just joined has got their own board, but we don't need as many threads as all that, we can just have this main one where we chat about everything, a trade thread and a history thread :)

The other league has got a "rookie of the year" award too.. basically any player that hasn't played a game before is in the running, and I think it's the highest rated rookie at the end of the year wins it. Like our own league's rising star comp. richcogs would've won it last year with Greene I'd say.
