Check the ultimate footy facebook and twitter feeds. On facebook, you'll see people pleading their cases for changes to be made. In the past couple of years, there has usually been about 6-8 changes after round 3. The players would have to spend the majority of time in a position that they are not listed as to get it. Someone like Bellchambers, will not be upgraded from a R to a R/F, as he does not spend the majority of the time up forward (although he does spend a significant amount of time there).

Going by facebook, it looks as though Prestia seems to be a popular suggestion to become a B/C, and i take it from this tweet from ultimate below, that Ricky Petterd is in line to become a B/F

Ultimate Footy@UltimateFootyAu 5 Apr
@FootyFreakJosh: Keep an eye on Ricky Petterd (F) - scored 75 on debut, available in 75% of leagues” His role in defence is interesting...

Thanks for the tips. :thumbsu: Very much appreciated.

So Ablett / Fyfe will not be a Forward or C/F, just yet?
Any chance that Sam Mitchell might become a C/B, seeing he is playing off half-back? Same for Taylor Hunt?

Do players ever lose a position?

Sam Mitchell - doubftul. Half bank flankers are as good as midfielders these days (with the amount of mids that are rotated in each game in HB/HF lines). T.Hunt I would think as a maybe IMO.

Players lose positions at the start of the season if UF deems it worth it. Can be a bitch if you plan on having them there when you do keepers leagues (and therefore need to trade them)

Might as well speak up for myself.

I take some offence at the suggestion I was 'targetted' at trade time. This whole thing is a ******* GAME. If I dont think I can win the flag then Im happy to torpedo my top guys, hunt for kids and 'roughies' and then LOL when they work out.

How many people questioned me trading to get Tory Dickson for example?

The whole point of this for me is to have fun, talk to a few people about footy and maybe get another persective on the value of players for the cash league Im in.

As far as last week goes - There was no taking involved. I've had a personal situation involving custody of my step-daughter that has had me spending pretty much all of my spare time brushing up on Australian Family Law.

I know that most of you take this really seriously, but for me its just abit of fun getting to see different opinions on players.

Ill be going straight onto the UF site now to set my team, aiming to win.

Ultimately you all can't have been too concerned about it, Rockford was the only one who bothered to PM me and ask what was up.

Hopefully we can all just take a breath, calm down, and get on with season 2013 :)

Very well said. I've been sitting back in this thread lately but I get the feeling I may end up on the same path as Rocky as I just cbf with the constant whinging on here. It's just hardly fun anymore.

I think/hope Charlie Dixon will change from B to R/F seeing as though he has kicked 5 goals as a forward and had 30 hitouts whilst being in the ruck.

I was just looking at the best players by 2013 average. I'm pretty pleased to have Hodge at #3 and Stanton at #4, but Rockford must be thrilled with his results - most of the surprising performances are his: Oliver Wines at #15, Luke Parker at #17, and Chad Wingard at #25. tenderwarrior is also doing well with Joshua J. Kennedy at #1, David Armitage at #12, and Aaron Mullett at #36. But the biggest mover has been Charlie Dixon - predicted to be #428, and currently #5.

Sorry to intrude lads, but anywhere I could find a list of those players whose positions changed midway through last year? And if possible, the rounds or breakdown of when each happened?

Cheers.

The only thing i can think of is contacting the ultimate team directly (via email, twitter or facebook). They are usually pretty helpful.

After winning the hitouts last week, thanks to Q.Lynch, i might actually be fielding a full 22 players, including 2 rucks this week thanks to the Kruezer injury (Warnock) and the Ryder suspension (Hille)

Rockford is the big winner is with three of the players who had a position change.
Agreed - hope he will still be around to benefit from it!

I think the Blicavs change is fair - he might not spend the majority of time in the ruck, but its essentially what he is. He's not a mid, he's not a defender, he's not a forward.

Surprised about Dixon being a ruck, not a forward.

Nothing personal but god it felt good flogging the maroons. I behind off keeping them scoreless and a goal off winning 9-0.

Team is looking better this year very narrow defeat to richcogs which he seems to keep doing to me. Then narrowly defeating probably the premiership favourites in deft touch. Yet I am still without two of my better forwards in waite and wellingham.

9-0 victories are hard to achieve because of the FA - if your opponent doesn't field any players, you will only win 8-1. So well done to the Western Jets for a 9-0 victory this round. I was happy with my 8-1 win, and Michael Evans looks to be the best Free Agent pickup ever.

Well I had to get one defeat. Had two narrow defeats now. Not even in the 8 :-(. 1-3
