Sorry I haven't been active in here for a while. This weeks match up has me realising just how little I'm enjoying our league. I don't really feel like there's any point if I can't trade. Whereas it's possible to block douche bags on BigFooty they can unfortunately still bait me on the match up chat. I was happy to keep fielding a team until you found a replacement. I'm not sure if there's been any progress to finding a coach to take over from me but it'd be good if you could make it a priority. Cheers.

Another week in which LWP has not set his team.
Yes, I agree. When I saw this, I thought to myself "But he's got until Saturday" - but then I saw that he had both Melksham and Siposs in his team, neither of whom played today. Trent Dennis-Lane did play (and did OK) but LWP did not include him.

Still, I will be going overseas in a few weeks' time, and I'm not sure I will be able to adjust my team between the teams being named and the lockout. So I'm prepared to cut folks some slack, but I agree that repeated, unexplained failure to name a reasonable team is unacceptable.

What's everyone's thoughts on having a rolling lockout (much like supercoach this year) and having lockouts for each game rather than weekly lockouts?

I think it would benefit for users like me (obviously) as then the sub could be countered and replaced with a different player 45 mins before the bounce of each game. Would reduce blowout scores (like my 9-0) and create a more even league.

Just an option.

It's not a good idea. Gives people too much of a chance to use emg loopholes

Your off to a flying start this year! I was lucky to scrap through this week. Rockford used the loop hole well to get Parker and Ellis's scores
Considering I beat deft touch, maroons and now jimmys junk I am quite happy. So close to beating you as well. Wiyb the incljsoons of waire, wwllingham and kreuzer in the next few weeks things are looking bad for my opponent s

I think by trying to solve one problem in terms of evening things up, we'd be creating another problem. It would advantage those people who are close to their computer before each game. If you have a full set of emergencies, very rarely will you get two that will be late changes for the same position.

I think the only way around it is have a full lockout after the first SAT game begins. IT gives people all of Fri night/Sat morning for final sunday squads and a bit more information and only gives one game an option for loopholes in which that can be a risk with still 8 more games to come.

No disrespect intended but so far Richocogs is the only tough opposition I've had. ATM I'm the Port of the league. Get's a bit tougher now. But i'll post the table and gloat while I can

Wouldn't that encourage participation (not that we lack it)? Would enable us to all be as addicted to each game as possible (and destroying social lives in the process).

Was just a thought anyway to see if others shared an opinion.
