How's the SkullGrinder EP?
Good. Goes for nearly 30min. Bit of a rort the way the cd release has been handled, but the book is decent. Already have the demos and obviously all the studio albums, so that just leaves a cd with live stuff I probably won't listen to.

Not really my thing usually but I enjoy While Heaven Wept (no it is not some modern screamo shit - 'epic' doom apparently). Pulled out Suspended at Aphelion again recently and have been giving it a few spins.

They must be due for a new album. One of their members is in Twisted Tower Dire, they also should be due for a new album.

I bought this album based on some really solid reviews and it's a bit of a slow burn tbh. Most of the songs taking a while to build etc (which is fine).

Interestingly it made some list of the 'best sonic recordings of 2014' or something like that on some audiophile website where they deep dive into the audio quality of albums (levels, compression and real sound quality etc etc). Was a bit of a nerd fest of a read but interesting.

Summoning is pretty hit and miss for me, but the weather today totally gave me this vibe. Silenius would easily be one of my favourite BM vocalists too.

Manowar have announced a farewell tour (probably the first of a few).
And not a moment too soon either. Manowar is the Steven Segal of metal.

Great early career but then everything turned seriously 'B grade' and all they seemed to release was that same old thing (movie) over & over.

Edit: At least Segal had the pleasure of Erika Eleniak coming topless out of a cake....
