Scorpions doco maybe 5/10. Was expecting some sort of detailed band history, chronological order & discussion of key albums, events and personnel changes (particularly early days) etc. Not a whole lot of discussion around Michael Schenker or Uli. Got a whole lot of self-indulgent crap to be honest. Did seem to come across that both the breakup of the Soviet Union and the dismantling of the Berlin Wall were only small side events next to the majesty and importance of the Scorpions touring the affected areas. Lol.

Cool that Gorbachev made an appearance in the film to talk about the band though.

I did learn one thing - James Kottak is a massive flog. I am convinced he believes the band is there to make him a star. I mean....seriously...anyone with their own name tattooed across their chest...give me a spell.

Took nearly 15 years since leaving Desaster, but finally arrived last year:

Really like it, ordered all 3 Eps yesterday (and ChaosDescends-Ticket, where they will play their first gig as it is announced today).

First look at the new Dark Funeral album

Many years back I sold a VN Commodore to a mate with a big Dark Funeral sticker on the side window. Great looking sticker too. Evil shit. I went round one day and his Aunty (of all people) was on the road with a big thing of eucalyptus oil an she was ripping the sticker off the car saying it was just evil and Satan worshiping and she wouldn't have it....not even her ****en car mind you. lol.

Insomnium have a new album coming out in September. It's a 40 minute single song concept album accompanied by a book, or some shit. Anyway, I'm excited because I love the band. Dan Swano is doing the mix - a man who isn't averse to making his own one track albums.
