yep her name is Serena
Lexus say 4.9 for 0-100kmh, but Lexus tend to do that, i guess so as not to scare certain potential customers. It can do 4.7's all day (4.3 if using 0-60mph) (
http://fastestlaps.com/cars/lexus_is_f.html) but really, it's a 4.5 car or even lower. The boss at a well known performance shop here in A-Town reliably informed me a couple months ago that a group in Germany is very close (may have happened by now) to cracking the IS-F computer, which means they'll be able to be tuned like any other car soon. IS-F's are severely undertuned. I'm not sure why - stock, mine is 311kw/416hp and over 500nm, but these engines can easily do way over 400kw with no forced induction. Watch what Lotus is going to do with it soon. Just an american made race exhaust and headers adds over 60hp to an IS-F, they really are a caged beast. And it puts it to the ground too. I've destroyed everything i've come across except an R35 GTR. Supercharged LSA GTS's can go with me but can never make up the distance i put on them at the start. I haven't come across an A45 yet (which i was going to get before the IS-F but theres a 12 month waiting list).
For its price there is no competition. Even if you drop 180k on a 507 C63 (30-40k more than the Lexus), you'd struggle to go with the ISF in the real world. And M3's and 4's really are overpriced by at least 50k i reckon.
Also those times are all on the old IS-F before the new diff and suspension i think. Certainly it's scary how easily it puts the power down on take off, even in the wet. Although i wouldn't try it with trac off
People say the update (2012 on, mines a 2013 built) can do 4.2, with easy 4.4's. I'll have to take mine down the strip one day, which is why i'd like to line up against an A45 (claimed 4.4)
