Well, Maiden need to work hard next year to top that:

Support: Eminenz, Manos

Just bought a ticket.

Used to be at the start of rundle street on the target side
Then i remember they were in a biggish arcade area but for the life of me cant remember where
The shop had glass external walls i think
I think big star was over the road and down a bit further

Then there was one where youd turn right at the chemist in the mall and go down to the next street, cross the road and there was a record joint on the left downstairs...id ask him if he had any live stuff and be would always pull Metallica cd bootlegs from under the counter
Always doubles and i scored a triple once, decent packaging
Had a kiss pinny down there too from memory
Then there was a record joint on bank street that always had some good vinyl

Then the metal shop up the other end of town
For some reason i wanna say it was down where Tans the martial arts shop used to be....the end where the original Trimms was

I only remember Rundle Street, which was across the road from Big Star. Not sure about the other location.

In Extremis got back together not long ago. A mate of mine was drumming for them.

It only took me a moment, but I was trying to figure out who was in corpse paint and thinking that place must've been amazing to advertise Scandinavian BM right in the front window, then realised it was Manson.

Bought the new Running Wild.
Rogues en Vogue was my last. Only gave it a few spins when it arrived.

But somehow it always that way. Collection is quite big after 25+ years, so bands with 5+ full length I mostly only listen to a few when that band comes to my mind. So a prefer to buy other bands then.

Having said that I am still hot for the new Destruction. Will probably buy it despite the above...

In light of Dee Snider splendid list, here is my shite arse one. I think there will be unfamiliar name's to some? Just generic riffy black metal, no variation overall, but... I guess I enjoyed them enough to be in my top 10.

Ed_Gein's Top 10 AOTY list:
1/ Asagraum - Dawn of Infinite Fire
2/ Ordensburg - Wie Stahl und Eisen Hart
3/ Deathspell Omega - The Furnaces of Palingenesia
4/ Misþyrming - Algleymi
5/ Oferwintran - Llyfr Coch Hergest
6/ Sinmara - Hvísl stjarnanna
7/ Sarastus - Enter the Necropolis
8/ Blut aus Nord - Hallucinogen
9/ Triumph, Genus - Po vrhu vždy je prázdno kolébek
10/ Malum - Legion

Demo/EP of the year:
Geheimnisvoll - Venomous Sorcery Through Hidden Darkness

Wasn't a close race for me, if it were an album it'd be top 4 somewhere in the above list, certainly.

5 best songs of 2019:
1/ Asagraum - Abomination's Altar
2/ Ordensburg - Wie Stahl und Eisen Hart
3/ Misþyrming - Ísland, steingelda krummaskuð
4/ Mgła - Age of Excuse II
5/ Blut aus Nord - Nomos Nebuleam

5 unlucky albums (Alphabetical order):
Barshasketh - Barshasketh
Darkthrone - Old Star
Mgła - Age of Excuse
Schammasch - Hearts of No Light
Totenwache - Der schwarze Hort

I only bought those 6 releases from this year:

Vomit Angel - Imprint of Extinction
Orville Peck - Pony
The 69 Eyes – West End
Pentacle - Spectre of the Eight Ropes
Nocturnus AD - Paradox
Possessed - Revelations of Oblivion

Mayhem still on the way.

All got me pretty excited. Nocturnus probably the best.

I really like the Pentacle.

I like The 69 Eyes. Possibly their best.

Got the Sinmara on. I bought too many new releases this year and have neglected many (this album included). Makes it impossible to do a list.

Give it a few listens and see what you think. My AOTY, probably amongst top 5 of the decade. That's the opinion of someone who doesn't really listen to anything except for black metal though haha

Wow
