Yup! Prefer the 777 trilogy over Memoria Vetusta for some reason. It's great. I have given Deus Salutis Meæ a half-hearted listen just the once, but for some reason I'm thinking the production threw me off, but I'll go back to it tonight and give it a proper listen.
I’m still into Memoria Vetusta II the most just because I’m more a BM sort of dude but I especially like the first one of the trilogy. Next time you chuck on Deus Salutis Meæ make sure it’s through a good system or decent pair of headphones. It’s a brutal album, really thick sound and probably the most layers I’ve heard on a BAN record since TWWTG. Probably the most dissonant sounding too.

Grabbed some cds from Memento Mori and Xtreem. Xtreem have a decent sale on at the moment.
Tempting me to go on a shopping spree as there are quite a few things on my wish list. Trying to be disciplined though as I’ve got to pay for a course I’m starting shortly.

Yeah. I sort of justify it on the basis it was previously boozing money, haha.

Was in the city for a Conciliation hearing and treated myself to the new Saxon afterwards. I’m really liking this one. Death Metal vocals on a Saxon album? Wowee.

Unlike Battering Ram which flattened out towards the end, this one is much better paced.

I’ve no doubt I’ll like this the more I listen. First impressions are that it’s one of their better ones in recent times - and their recent times have been pretty damn good too.

Ps. Fair perve in the cbd this afternoon

Yeah, just had that song on then. Nice to hear that AA bloke on there. Been pretty good in the city since I got back. Sometimes I just sit and people watch (that's a euphemism) for 15min in Bourke Street after work. Tough life.

You do live the tough life....

Was up the sharp end of town (high end of Collins Street) which helps. Plenty of ‘window lickers’ down Elizabeth St..... viewing not so good.

Just woke up. The Last Command at breakfast with the soothing sounds of Mr Lawless.
....can’t think of a better way to ease into the day than the dreamy, doomy soundscape of ‘Widowmaker’.....then straight into Ballcrusher, Wild Child & Blind in Texas to get you going...

So, got a whiskey, some candles lit and Deus Salutis Meæ playing through some headphones. Very TWWTG vibe with this album which is a good thing.

Does anyone use Last.fm?

Listened through the Crimson Idol Re-do and it’s decent enough. Still prefer the original but it’s fine. Interestingly one of the 4 ‘missing’ songs added back in is ‘Miss You’ which appeared on their most recent ‘Golgotha’ album. Wonder why it didn’t make the Idol first cut - it’s a great song.
