Oh man I can relate. Ringwood Mercedes absolutely stings you with things that you never knew you needed. Min $2k last 2 times we’ve been there.
Yeah I'll never buy another one again, they're over engineered, service centers try to ream the hell out of you, even the independent ones..

Pretty sure MB‘s model is to sell the cars close to cost and go to town come service time. Nothing worse than the call from the dealership after they have performed the initial review. I got stung for back brake pads today. Just part of the cost of having the car - apparently Audi is even worse. Sort of thought of replacing my car but can’t really be ****ed. I’ve had this for 4.5 years and it has been trouble free. Wouldn’t mind a Mustang GT but not a practical daily city driver, bit too much plastic inside and given my driveway (steep) and garage (half is a gym) it would be very tight.

Trying to think of my favourite albums released this year.

Harakiri for the Sky, Stormkeep, Abstract Void, Soen, Archspire, Mastodon, Gojira, Iron Maiden, Cannibal Corpse, Wolves in the throne room, Thurnin, Be'lakor would be on my 'shortlist'. Thurnin - 'Menhir' is not metal at all, its instrumental ambient/folk but i love it.

I’ll have to start thinking about mine too. A few are obvious (to me) but there’s been a lot released so as usual this will be a task.

I'll be looking out for your lists... Don't think I'll be doing one - I've missed too much. But some great one's I liked were Aorlhac, Asphyx, Bewitcher, Clandestine Blaze, Hyperdontia, Impaled Nazarene, Outre-Tombe, Sarkrista, Tribulation and Yoth Iria.

I will spin the Darkthrone and Necromantia albums a bit more and see if I like them any better...

Page 666, too. Nice. :)

PS Very good year actually. I am normally a slow buyer when it comes to new stuff. Can't think of a year where I bought more current releases.

Nice list. I agree it has been a good year! Im still trying to listen to a heap of stuff including Portal's new albums and Nocturnal etc

Ex Deo - The Immortal Wars.

I love Roman history, and grabbed their first two albums immediately (I'm also a mild fan of Kataklysm, but much prefer this to the main project), yet haven't listened to this before, or the new one for that matter. I don't have an explanation as to why.

Just saw Paprika. Decent film. Perfect Blue another one to watch by the same bloke.

Just looked them up, seem right up my alley.

I'm watching Girls Und Panzer atm, completely different to the usual horror/thriller/drama anime I watch. It's about tank warfare being a sport for high school girls, but it's done in a safe way (it's more of a family oriented show). I only started watching as Netflix are advertising it as being removed after 14/12, and I'd heard of it's utterly ludicrous concept before. I don't normally watch kawaii series, but this is just fun.

JB have it on dvd for $15. Worth picking up. Anime series wise I am watching Dororo on Amazon Prime - enjoyable.
