Bowles was bid in with pick 5 which is 1878 points

20% discount = 1502.4 points needed

Gold Coast use pick 6 which is 1751 to match bid

1751 - 1502.4 = 248.6
Gold Coast receives pick 52 every team moves down order from there

Gold Coast don't get to use the leftover points. The policy stresses that the 20% is a maximum discount. So pick 52 doesn't get created.

They only get to use them if they go into defecting next year on later matched bids (the 248.6 points are subtracted from the defecit).

Heard from a reliable poster on our board saying we've got interest in Cumming. Wouldn't surprise me if we bid on him with our second pick.

As do 99% of humans

Had a look and according to everyone and the phantom drafts I can bid and go into deficit for next year. Is that correct. This whole bid system is a joke lol way to technical
