yeah things are really slow for me too
a) Yeah, there is a corrupted file somewhere. We can't figure out where it is, but I'm sure we will find it.
b) The issue with posts taking time to appear seem to be to do with your ISP or proxy settings. My posts appear immediately but I am a little fuzzy on the actual reason. Talk to your ISP about it, then let me know and I will be able to pass the message out to anyone who asks in the future.
