If you don't like that song you just don't understand music. The ******* trash you put up is embarrassing, more and more in this thread you are returning to your AnusCat attention seeking roots. Because Morganashlee has a bee in her bonnet over me you'll get some cheap likes from her, but everyone else just thinks you're embarrassing yourself.

Way to be inclusive, jackass.

I'm sure if we did a straw poll Jaz would dominate the popular vote :rainbow:

In first place, with 47 votes was the fly

I kind of forgot about this song before this round. In so many ways it's stamped into Australian culture, but the Divinyls were definitely outsiders. There are some elements of new-wave and post punk, but Chrissie Amphlett's lyrics and delivery are so sexually aggressive that they fit really well into punk. Taking what is taboo and forcing it into the open. Looking at some of the comments on the Divinyls' 'Pleasure and Pain' you can see that even today people have sexual hangups and are severely threatened by the kind of powerful sexual authority that Amplett displayed. She isn't whoring herself, she's taking control of her own life in a powerful, feminist punk manner. A great song and a deserved win, well done the fly!

In second place with 36 votes is Lord_Flashheart

I think I've made it fairly clear that I'm pretty fond of Radiohead. In many ways this is their best song and it is a crystallisation of 90s post punk. There are jangly guitars and anger, a dissatisfaction with the corporate monolith the world has become. There is anger and sadness in Thom Yorke's perfect delivery. He spits and snarls, but also embraces a soft and tender sadness.

The dual guitars of Jonny Greenwood and Ed O'Brien attack the listener and help hold them to account for the role they have played in the decaying world the song describes. There is anger and beauty and an attempt to genuinely push their musical boundaries after the fairly muted album The Bends.

Leave Jazny alone! The diversity of the songs in the competition is what makes it interesting.
She and Morgs are circle jerking each other like they barrack for Hawthorn. Morgs had such a tanty she sat out the round and now Jaz is melting because her shit song came dead last.

Great to see Divinyls win it, I gave it my 5 votes, fantastic song and Chrissy Amphlett is one of Australian rocks greatest ever front persons both man or woman.

Love this Divinyls song too which is also pretty punkish.

For ****s sake Wooshette_ I stretch the round out to give everyone time to listen to every song!

For what it's worth it was Good_Old who Billy'd it. I'm happy to go around and lynch him or shit on his car.
No, I'm pro song choice :p
In my defence I was with family nearly all weekend.
