A completely dominant year that almost matched the famous 2021 year of Naitanui, Tim Kelly takes out the gold medal in 2023. Kelly has now finished 1st, 2nd, 2nd and 3rd since he has come to the club - not bad for a failed trade amirite?? Kelly well and truly proved this year that he is an elite midfielder of the comp and could have had a case of being AA if we had not been such a basket case. Kelly more than doubled 2nd place this year and returned 6 Best on Ground performances (including the last 4 rounds of the year in a strong finish to the season which were:
  • 33 disposals, 5 marks and 4 tackles in Round 3 v Fremantle
  • 36 disposals, 6 marks, 5 tackles and 2 goals in Round 4 v Melbourne
  • 30 disposals, 10 marks and 4 tackles in Round 21 v Essendon
  • 26 disposals, 5 tackles and a goal in Round 22 v Fremantle
  • 32 disposals, 3 marks and 4 tackles in Round 23 v the Bulldogs
  • 35 disposals and 6 marks in Round 24 v Adelaide

Yep, was in Bali for the Derby and the Dees v Blues game was on ABC Australia in the hotel. Missus and kids had Bali belly so I stayed in and missed it.

Was really a blessing to put up with a different kind of shitshow compared to that record Derby defeat!

Still not sure what I was thinking there. Playing the catch up voting game on IOS device is tricky on the app.
It was definitely worth it in the end. My love of Noah and Oscar will get me through the off season
