Harry has said he is happy with the squad but he will be looking to sign one 'special' player.

So hopefully that rules out the likes of Richards, J.Cole and Bellamy.

Signing Berba is an underrated option. With supply from Modric, Lennon and Bale he will score for fun.

Dzeko is the guy everyone wants. But if we have to pay silly money then just let City have him. Not sure we will make any moves just as the World Cup is starting so we might have to wait till after.

I don't want downhill skiiers playing for us so no I don't want Berbatov, even if he can score.

If Dzeko's interested, we should throw a good amount for him + player. He seems like the ideal player and has been smashing it in Germany.

What's to say Dzeko wouldn't be a Forlan-type who just isnt cut out for the PL? Paying twice as much for someone with no big league experience.

Fingers crossed we do get this right

Always liked Gio. Hoping he sticks around can tell he'll be the sort of player that would make us look stupid after we sell him. As for Bentley if he wants out then so be it, if not he can be back up to Lennon

I'd rather keep Bentley and sell Gio since we'd get more money, I'm not sure if GDS can make it in the premier league, he is probably best suited to la liga.

Looks like we have real interest in Kjaer (Danish CB) and Cavani (Uruguayan striker) from Palermo. I.e. real as in it is confirmed from Palermo and not a rumour, not that we'll definately get them.

Luis Fabiano has ruled out Tottenham too, saying that Seville is a bigger club.

Kjaer is good and would be excellent considering the injury situations with King and Woodgate. Cavani looks decent but I don't know enought to say. Would he be a good signing? Would he improve the squad or is he same standard as Pav, Keane, Crouch and Defoe?

Spurs 'bid' for Palermo duo
Palermo chief claims €35million offer for Kjaer & Cavani

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini claims Tottenham have made a double bid for Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani.

A host of clubs have been linked with the highly-rated pair with Palermo resigned to losing the star duo this summer.

The likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Inter Milan have been credited with an interest in Danish international Kjaer, while City and Wolfsburg are thought to be keen on Cavani.

However, Tottenham are hoping to steal a march on their rivals by making a double bid for both players.

Zamparini claims Spurs have tabled a bid of €35million (£28million) for Kjaer and Cavani and that the offer was too good to turn down.

"Tottenham have bid €35m, an offer we cannot refuse, seeing as the two players have both said they want to leave," Zamparini told Sky Italia television.

"We will reinvest the money for these players," assured Zamparini. "The midfield is my biggest concern, whereas in defence and attack we are fairly covered."

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is keen to bolster his squad as he prepares for the Champions League next season and landing Kjaer and Cavani would be a major coup for the White Hart Lane outfit.

Apparently we're firming for Joe Cole too.

BBC gossip column also says we are looking to get Carrick back and could offer Pav to Man U, sounds stupid.

Anyone worried that Harry will take the England job if Fabio gets the sack?

Especially considering we didn't even field a reserves team last season.

O'Hara, Keane, Pav, Jenas will probably go. Perhaps even Woodgate and maybe Bentley and/or Giovanni Dos Santos.

We'll probably offload a few of the other youngsters that I have no idea about outside of Football Manager (Townsend, Bostock, Taarabt, Jansson etc).

Hutton, O Hara, Tarrabt, Jenas, Pav, Keane, Bentley, Dos Santos, Woodgate, Bassong should be the start along with 4 or 5 pay us for them style loan deals for Walker, Naughton, Alnwick, Rose, Bostock and a couple of others

Bassong won't leave. He is being groomed as Ledley's replacement. If Woodgate can't get his body right he will most likely retire but we won't sell him.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants us to keep O'Hara, Pav and Dos Santos. However they will most likely be sold. The rest are going or already gone.

Add a CL quality striker and Kjaer (hopefully) and our squad is good enough to compete with anyone.
