I like Kaboul better than Bassong lately at CB.

I'm thinking of getting a VDV shirt if he starts well later on in the year. Do you think he'll keep #11 in future seasons? Or will he go to #10 once Keane leaves?

Modric played for Croatia so at least he should play tomorrow.

Any word on Gomes? Without Gomes, Dawson and Defoe I can see us losing to West Brom and Werder Bremen.

Website has 3 months aswell. Good work on being a tight wad you ****wit Levy!

Shane Werder have their own injury problems. They look like they will be without Naldo, Mertsacker and Pizarro.

Could have gotten a better result tonight but we got lucky in the end. VDV was very good in the first half but got a bit puffed in the second (especially toward the end), Gallas looks like he's lacking in fitness a bit but you gotta give him credit considering how much pressure Brom were putting on and while it kept him really busy, he did a good enough job. I thought our midfield looked a bit slow as the game was finishing but then again, the Modric injury didn't help at all.

I thought Bale could have played better as well, made a few good runs (especially toward the end) but sort of lacked aggression a bit. Lennon was way too quiet and really needs to step up I reckon as Giovanni will be knocking on his door.

Fairly average performance last night. A draw was probably a fair result but we just didnt create enough! Maybe we were looking toward our CL game this week and i can see a couple of changes being made ahead of it. Sandro needs to be brought in and played ahead of palacios, as most of us have said already but he is going to cost us points! another very average game from him last night..

COYS! Bring on werder!!!!!

I reckon Palacios hasn't been the same since his brothers death and I don't blame him either. But for the sake of the team, he needs to be dropped and Sandro needs to play.

I thought Kaboul was our best player yesterday. I can't recall a bad game since we re-signed him.

Werder will be interesting. They drew Bayern Munich. We drew West Brom. No Gomes, Dawson, Defoe and now Modric. We are ****ed.

Was that around the time he had that suspension for yellow cards? beacuse i dont think he's been the same player since he came back but that could of happend around the time of his brothers death.

Agreed.:thumbsu:

We could get something out of that game. I think we will step up and play some brilliant football.... or we will produce a really poor effort and loose 3/4-0. There will be no inbetween.

Awesome news. We were due some luck with injuries.

I think the only changes will be King and Crouch in for Gallas and Pav. 4-5-1 is the way to go in a tough CL away fixture. Good to see we are being televised live too.

Decent result, obviously giving away a 2 goal lead will dampen the spirits a bit but away to Werder a point is very good. Can the real Corluka please come back?

Can the real Lennon come back as well. Our right side is non existent.

Jenas was surprisingly good. Keane was woeful.

I think teams have woken up to our right side. Corluka offers sweet f**k all going forward so it is very easy for the RM and RB to double team Lennon. Wouldn't mind Hutton or Naughton (is he on loan?) playing at RB to offer something on the overlap, like BAE does for Bale. The amount of times Bale gets double teamed is considerably less because with time on the ball BAE will make runs through the middle/down the wing, take a crack or try and play a good ball. Whereas Corluka sits a too deep and if Lennon goes back to him its as good as going back to a CB rather than continuing the attack

Put Gio on the right side... Lennons in horrible form.
Hmm. Replace a speedy yet unpredictable winger with a speedy yet unpredictable winger?

I do agree to an extent though. Lennon is in woeful form. We're getting good width and pace on the left when Bale plays in the midfield, so we don't really need to emphasise these characteristics as much on the right if we have an alternative. Bale is the much better player out of the two, so maybe sacrifice so pace on the right and replace with it some creativity; Krancjar doesn't get enough love around here.

A game of two halves really, we dominated from the get go till about the 43rd minuted then Werder played us off the park until about the 85th, where Crouch should have buried it .

Bale was super, he was just extraordinary in the first half, good to see Jenas play his one great game for the first half of the year, I thought Crouch provided enormous presence and VDV was having a blast until he got injured.

And what the **** is wrong with Lennon?? did not look confident at all, Keane struggled when he came on and Hudd was servicable without having too much effect on the game.

I was also pretty damn impressed with Marko Marin and Hunt from Werder, they were both doing as they pleased in their period of domination, Almeda also proved to be a headache for King and Kaboul at times.

Good result but to be two up and then blow a golden winner left a sour taste.

I have a feeling it was a plan to not use the right side very often, as they used there right side to good effect with that rat faced ****. Lennon is having a bad patch and i wouldnt mind Gio starting on the weekend.

I would of taken a point before the game but to be 2 up and almost win it with crouchys missed chance is a little dissapointing but still a good start to the campaign.

Wolves this week and the scum in the carling cup next week! bring it on!

COYS!
