Bardi from TFC tweeted last night that had received information that 'something big will happen before we play Juve.' He later went on to say that he didn't get told specifics, just that he was told that something will happen before the weekend. This followed information from the regular bullshitters ITK types who, earlier in the day, posted that they had heard something was close as well that would 'make all Spurs fans really happy.'

Cheeseroom knives have been chosen ;)

P.S. I hope his mail is correct and we have someone inbound. Did find it interesting that Pereira and Foyth were rejected by Poch.

Barkley or Simeone?

Apparently not Barkley.

The implication seemed to be that it's not someone we've been linked to heavily before and that it could well be a marquee/big name signing. I think it unlikely considering that it appears that the media haven't gotten wind of it yet, but that was pretty much how Son's deal went two years ago. It appeared in the media and then IIRC not even a day later it was announced.

Obviously the ITK types regularly talk shit, but Bardi doesn't seem the type to tweet something like that if he hadn't have actually heard something.

I heard about our interest in Son a few days before we moved for him

Chadli was the biggest out of the blue deal that we've had lately, only people in Belgium/Holland got wind of it first.

He's solid enough

I'd be ok with him playing League Cup and stuff
Don't even think he would play that. He would effectively take the Pau Lopez role from last year which, I assume, mostly involved cleaning Lloris and Vorms boots, patching holes in their gloves and actually giving Toni Jiminez something to do.

Supposedly Burnley, Celtic, Huddersfield and Brighton were after him too.

Me thinks he will get more playing time at Villa, considering how Pritchard, a similarly rated prospect, was treated at West Brom.
