Come on now. Time to get over it, you're melting something shocking.
We signed some good players.
I'm happy we didn't lose anyone that we couldn't replace. It's just a shame when we are that close we don't really take that final step. I am coming around more to the striker situation now that we have 3 proper strikers and have an experienced one amongst that 3. Just don't think it's the right type of striker but we'll see.

Every season he's addressed something now I see little point going nuts with spending now given we won't win it at Wembley. By all means spend big when we move in back home. We missed one spot in the squad and did so after trying to get 3 players for it. It happens.

What's he addressed this season? Winning experience. Aurier has 11 trophies at PSG and Llorente has won wherever he's been. That could be invaluable to a squad that's unfamiliar with what it is like to win.

Don't think JD would ever have made it supporting Spurs through the 90's and 00's.

I'm disappointed we didn't sign someone with pace as an AM, but despite the horrendously slow start, the window has been ok. Just have to accept we will never get our business done early

Yeah, I was pretty melty two years ago with Levy not going hard on players like Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Berahino etc, but I'm over it. We have a much better squad now and we don't have to rely on mediocre players like Chadli and Mason anymore.

2015-16 was a blown opportunity that we may be a few years away from again, just gotta hope we can retain our best players, keep building our squad and hopefully snare a trophy or two with the move into the new stadium early days.

Performing at Wembley and producing consistent results during the European fixturing is all I ask for this season.

It's only the second time I've felt we are one player short of doing something amazing. If we got one of Mahrez, Keita Balde or even Demari Gray we really could have been able to match our last two seasons this season.

Surprised Gazzianga isn't HG thought he might have spent long enough in England at Southampton and Gillingham before that. Thought that might have been why we were that keen on him.

If youth reports are accurate there's a good chance for quite a few of those kids to be PL quality whether that's with us or lower down remains to be seen.

Edwards, S. Shashoua, Oakley-Boothe, Miller, Sterling, Tracey, Tanganga & Whiteman I've all heard very good things about. Would love it if Maxmimus Tainio comes through and of course Maurizio

Oh yeah

Keep forgetting Dier isn't home grown because of Portugal

He was 19 when he joined Gillingham, if he joined somewhere between 16-18 then maybe he'd qualify for HG

Sigurdsson and Fabregas are home growns for example though.

I hate the rule foreigners here from a young age are HG but a born UK citizen who goes abroad isn't.

1 thing about Llorente is he can play upfront with a partner, which was the regular go at Juve.

Going 3-5-2 some games will work when a Alli/Eriksen type are out, this is why Conte wanted him imo so he could partner up with Morata sometimes.
Agree. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see this during the season, particularly when Alli is suspended for the CL games:

Lloris
Dier/Sanchez - Alderweireld - Vertonghen
Aurier - Wanyama - Dembele - Rose/Davies
Eriksen
Kane - Llorente

Lloris
Vorm Gazzaniga

Aurier~~~~~ Alderweireld Vertonghen ~~~~Rose
Trippier KWP~~~~Sanchez Dier Foyth ~~~~ Davies KWP

Dembele Wanyama
Dier Winks Sissoko

Eriksen ~~~~ ~~~~Alli ~~~~ ~~~~Son
Lamela Sissoko ~~~~Eriksen Dembele ~~~~Lamela GKN

Kane
Llorente Janssen

Barring that wide forward type player on the left I'm happy enough with this depth and I think it is stronger than last season.

Assumed to be at a referee, or confirmed it was at a referee?
Well it was too early to watch but the general consensus I've read is to a referee.
Got fouled by Skrtel and no free kick. Play goes on he swears at the ref then flashes the bird.

Just saw the whole footage. He smirks at the end.

Southgate says it was aimed at Walker.

Of course Southgate would try to deflect it, but I don't get why Dele would smirk otherwise.
