Back in 2002, I begged the wife to let me put $1K on Pete Sampras at $25 to win the U.S Open.I'll never know what it was, but in the lead-up to the event, I just KNEW that Pete would win.
Wife said no, so I thought I'd try my luck with $50.Which turned into $1,250.
Brother-in-law got the word back in 2010 that the Storm would be playing for zero points that year.He was able to get $2K on at $66 for the wooden spoon.He has a copy of the ticket framed in his man cave.

Best I've heard is a guy my Dad knew from work. Won the lottery and then bought Doriemus and won the Melbourne Cup the same year.

Biggest win was in Vegas a couple of years ago, turned $200 into $650 playing poker at Planet Hollywood (where we were staying) in around 45 minutes. Had quad 2's and slowed played it milking the 2-3 blokes who were just betting like crazy.

Probably my most enjoyable win (simply from a fun factor) was several years agoa handful of us went to the Gold Coast for a few weeks. for the entire 3 weeks my mate and I put every bit of change that we received into a bowl in the loungeroom with the plan that on the last day we took it all to Jupiters and put it all on Red. Think we ended up betting $150 all on red and it got up.

Split the winnings and we both went again, i changed to black though, i won he lost

Heading to Vegas again next April as one of the legs of my honeymoon so will hopefully have a story to bring back!

I've had a couple bigger than this (4-5k), but they were all much larger bets. This is by far the best bet I've won, paying for the $3k I spent on GF tickets a few weeks earlier (Oct 2010). Great month!

I actually had school that day (yeah...this may have been done under 18) but was up watching when Liverpool won 2-1 (Torres winner!) and went mental.

About 5 years a go was walking through the casino as a short cut. Had a lazy $20 thought why not, stuck the whole lot on 1 spin of roulette, nailed it won about $700 I think. Won about $135 backing 1st and second on the Melbourne Cup a few years ago. Only bet very spasmodically but I guess like 90% I lose more than I win.
