Interested to know who is the 'Biggest name' at each club right now. By biggest name, I know historically there may be some big names but if your club was going to rename its BnF award right now, who would decidedly be the most important figure or family that it would named.

Example, would it now be Ablett at Geelong?

Would it be Clarkson at Hawthorn?

I think at Carlton it would move from Nicholls to either Kernahan or Silvagni.

Have at it..

It only became the John Nicholls Medal in 2004 replacing the Robert Reynolds trophy. This was after Kernahan and Silvagni had retired.

Silvagni would still be a good choice though with 3 generations having been through.

Freo- Player; Now would be Fyfe, in 5 years time you'd say Darcy or Blakely.
All time would be Pav or Bell, given that Bell is now a board member.

Well those are two very different questions. The biggest name is Carey. But would the club rename their B&F after him? I doubt it.

Fyfe will still be playing in 5 years time...

Right now it's Pav, Fyfe then daylight for Freo. Probably in the future too unless Fyfe can help deliver a flag or win another Brownlow or two.

Great left field shout. Ooze was a gun and bloody underrated.

Melbournes has to be Barassi. When your involved in 6 premierships as a player then 4 more as coach (albeit at other clubs) you are an immortal.

Collingwood, Geelong, Richmond.............................Balme

Other clubs - give them a few more years - eventually he'll get around to all of them. Just name all B&Fs after him, since (according to what I have read), his arrival guarantees a flag within a couple of years.

He might be the soul of the club - just don't call him the Heart:D:D:D:D.

They wouldn't rename the Jack Dyer medal, but you could make a case to name unnamed awards after Hart and Richardson.

Club goal kicking medal could easily be named the Richardson Medal. Hes I think 11th or 12th all time goals list and also has the most goals on the MCG of any player in history. I dont see them changing from the Michael Roach award though.

Bit of trivia, have any clubs changed or renamed awards after it has already been named after a person?

For WCE its Worsfold. Dual premiership captain and premiership coach. Involved in 5 out of 6 of our grand final appearance and the club b&f was named after him.

Also set the standard in relation to hardness and what was required to be successful. Not in the clubs 10 best ever players however John Worsfold is easily the name that stands above all others for us.
