Pretty good strategy:

Geelong: “we would love you to play for us, but your club would want too much. Thank your season, post on socials instead of training, go to the rugby instead of your centenary celebrations and we will be able to afford a second rounder”
That's the thing, the buyer is taking all the risk and a large contract on an obviously talented player who is ...not in a good place to fulfill that contract.

Called into training yesterday.

Just a few points

In possibles team - jones, berry, Murphy, Pedlar, Edwards, cook, welsh, burgess, Ryan, Peatling (susp), Schoenberg, surprisingly Nankervis, Dowling, borlase, the Irishman Gallagher, Drury, Bond, Butts, McAndrew

Does Nicks have a daughter? Did Nank take her out and never call her again?

Keeping Sholl and dropping Nank after not giving him a go on the wing where he’s been tearing it up, would be such a Nicks thing.

He just can't bring back Murphy. He just can't - there is no logical reason to.

I refuse to believe it.
Im gonna guess that either Curtin or Draper miss, the latter through management.

Still no reason to play Murphy, but just framing a scenario

History unfortunately tells us Nicks repeats the same mistakes over & over & over.

Well this is encouraging at least isn't it?

AFL round 4 injury list: Marcus Bontempelli, Jamarra Ugle-Hagan train at Western Bulldogs

Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge says Jamarra Ugle-Hagan has shown “encouraging” signs as he was joined on the track by injured skipper Marcus Bontempelli on Thursday.

Ugle-Hagan, who remains a long way from returning to senior football after dealing with personal issues over the past nine months, was first out on the track on Thursday and greeted reporters with a grin before Beveridge’s press conference.

He completed the full session, moving impressively in match simulation drills playing in a second-choice forward line against the Bulldogs’ best defenders.
“Yeah, he’s chipping away, ‘Marra’, so that’s encouraging. The more he can be involved in these main sessions … he looked really good the other day, the closer he gets to playing,” Beveridge said.

“He’s stringing … his program specifics here, together, and that’s really important for him, and for us.”
I guess it's obvious now that all of this was just BS and spin by the club - which it seemed most in the media knew at the time.

It's very sad what had happened with JUH - he certainly won't play for WB again, and media reports say that most clubs aren't interested in him playing for them either. There's obviously A LOT not being said openly that clubs know.

Look bud I don't know why you feel the need to keep recycling this, all I ever sais was that I was told via a GWV Rebels Warrnambool contact that Jamarra was back at the Dogs and had trained every session for over a fortnight which was backed up by a number of AFL media outlets after that. All I know is it's a real shame because Jamarra is a supremely talented footballer when he's in a good headspace.
