Hey guys, was just looking for some thoughts on whether this bike is good for a casual rider? I'd try and ride it as much as possible and it seems to have good reviews but thought some experts may have a different opinion.

Look at all the cycling threads. You will see a sticky called Big Footy Bike Store ... you will get better help if you post there. Also go back and read previous posts in that thread you might see some comments that are useful to you.

To get more useful advice you need to say what sort of riding you want to do ...
- How many kms per week?
- What type of surface and terrain will you be riding on?
- Do you want to ride by yourself or with a riding group?
- Is it just for exercise or will you be commuting, shopping carrying stuff?
- Can you store your bike securely inside at home and at your destinations?

Also I'd be asking about the "freewheel" on that Reid bike? Is it 6 or 7 speed and screw-on or slide-on? You will have much better upgrade options if your hub takes a slide-on cassette, not a screw-on freewheel.
